I have done a similar thing Giled. I figure KDY is an easy to to prototype and playtest concepts with my group. Then I don't have to pester DA with constat revisions until a final idea has been reached.

My thoughts exactly. I have a few clone wars playtests I have been promising DA I would run for weeks, that I put off once he left. Now,

I can tweek ships on my own just for testing.

Well apparently I'm an admin as well. I do like the idea of using this to store ideas that can then be linked to various custom threads and reworked in those comments. This adorablerocket character has been very busy, I'm actually quite impressed (even if I think our versions are better than anything he's produced, but that's neither here nor there). I am going to suggest that all DA or DA affiliated cards be marked thus in their titles, since they will almost certainly be added by a range of users. FoaS, is there any sort of tagging system that could be put in place, a searchable one, for instance to search if it's affiliated with a set, author group, etc.?

Currently I have just been writing Armada Shipyards Playtest in the description for now if it is related to that.

Tagging functionality is uploaded - probably buggy, but I like to play it fast and loose :3

I tweaked the card rendering code. Before it was re-rendering a card whenever you made ANY kind of edit to an item. NOW it re-renders a card only when you make a change to values that show up on the card or dials.

You may need to refresh the page after the rendering is done. I would appreciate some double-checks. If anyone sees any problems, please let me know.

Is ther a way I can just add silhouettes? There are a few ships, like the Dreadnaught, that still need them, and we will see many versions.

If you want to add a silhouette to a ship that already exists, you can edit the ship, and upload the new silhouette there and give it a name.

If you just want to add silhouettes at a go? sadly, not really, but I'll start fixing that in about an hour.

There is a two-fold problem here,

1) Where do I put the interface to handle ship/squadron silhouettes. Main menu, or workshop area?

2) Deleting silhouettes will probably have to be an admin-user only function, because what happens when you delete a silhouette that another ship is using? You'd have to request the system to re-render a number of cards, which will be taxing. I think I'll make it so that IF there are no ships using the silhouette, it can be deleted by the silhouettes owner, but otherwise it cannot be deleted - UNLESS you are an admin, at which point, the admin can delete it and have the system replace any references to that silhouette with another silhouette.

Whatever. You think is best, I just wanted a place to add silhouettes, then was planning to comment on the individual ships as I added them, that a silhouette had been added for their ship. I can crank out several in a sitting, but I need to sequester myself in the library with my pc, so only happens once or twice a week.

I've added the ability to create new Ship and Squadron silhouettes, as well as the ability to edit silhouettes that you originally uploaded. You can also delete silhouettes that are yours and when you do you'll be asked what you want to replace the silhouette with. You can also just upload a new image to an existing silhouette that is yours.

Sweet! Now I can crank out silhouettes for all the ships I know are coming from Armada Shipyards without stepping on DA's toes, as well as all the great EU ships I know are coming.

Now you can "Watch" a piece of content for comments. By default, whenever you create content, or comment on a piece of content, you will start watching it (you can change this behavior in your user settings). If someone other than you comments on a thing you are watching, the comment will show up in your Workshop.

Can anyone else think of any good Minor factions to add? I've already got the CSA (obviously) and the Hapan Consortium.

Ya I guess the Cartels could be Mercs. Better that these become expansion vs actual factions.

I hereby propose, in the name of not shuffling through the thread, that all units from Armada Shipyards (which Diablo has cleared for cross referencing) be credited to Armada Shipyards, unless someone specifically made a special effort for that ship, or they were the originator and cry foul. Objections?
