So, I'm reading this power and I'm unlcear on how the range upgrade works. I've treid searching but I don't see any answers about my specific question (mostly people seem to care about how you can hurt NPCs with it).
The default power reads:
The user may spend [1 Force Point] to move one object of silhouette 0 that is within short range up to his maximum range. The default maximum range is short range.
The Range upgrade reads as:
Spend [1 Force Point] to increase power's range by a number of range bands equal to Range upgrades purchased.
Given the way the default power specifies short range and maximum range (default short) seperately that would seem to only apply to the maximum range, i.e. the latter part of the power's description?
So, say I upgrade to Medium Range. It would seem to me that now I can move something that is within Short Range to anywhere up to Medium Range. When I upgrade Range again to Long, I can move items from Short Range anywhere up to Long Range. But if I'm reading this correctly I don't see any way to move and object that is further away fomr me than Shrot range, no matter what I do.
Is this right? I admit I can't offhand think of an example of a Jedi grabbing something that is unequivically further than Short range, but it feels to me like if you can suspend something in the air at long range for a few minutes, maybe move it around, you should also be able to pick it up at long range.
Am I just being overly strict in my reading of the rules?
