Auto-fire vs Linked

By jrg4111, in Star Wars: Edge of the Empire RPG

So, question regarding linked and auto-fire. with linked you activate it to add another hit with the same damage as the initial hit up to the number in the linked quality, so say you hit for 10 damage with a linked 2 weapon you can activate it up to 2 more times for 2 more hits of 10 correct, for a total of 3 hits, as long as you have the advantages?

So with auto-fire when you activate it do you use the same damage as the initial hit, like linked, or do you reroll for the additional hit like two-weapon fighting? And if so is there a limit to how many times you can activate auto-fire?

2 weapon Combat, Auto Fire and Linked all do the same base weapon damage plus Successes on subsequent hits. (you never re-roll for damage)

2 weapon Combat could have 2 different damages due to different weapons, but the number of successes added to the base damage is the same.

Linked and 2WC must hit the same target. Auto fire can hit multiple targets if declared before the roll, and the difficulty is based on the hardest target to hit (Difficulty)

Linked has no combat modifier, 2 Advantage to activate each extra hit. Limited number of extra hits after the first equal to the linked value

Autofire has a +1 difficulty, 2 Advantage to activate each additional hit. Unlimited number of extra hits.

2WC has a + 1 difficulty, +1 more if using different skills for the 2 weapons. You must build the dice pool using use the worst Characteristic of the 2 weapons, and the worst Skill of the 2 Skills. Dice modifiers only apply from your primary weapon (the one that will hit first). The second weapon hits if you spend 2 advantage, and then any additional Advantage or Threat are added to the results (you don't get to roll a Boost dice from the second weapon after its activated). Each weapon can only be activated once, although theoretically if one had the Linked or Auto-Fire quality those could be activated.

Hello there everyone, I was wondering if anyone could direct me where i might find how some of the YouTube channels that feature Star Wars games get their dice apps? I am just starting so i am looking at everything. I know there is a lot to getting started so any help would be cool.

I would suggest you start a new topic for this in order to get the best possible answer.

There is an official dice app from FFG. It's far cheaper than even one set of dice. I know it's available in the Google Play Store.

As for other web apps and such, I'm sure they're out there, I've never gone looking.

I did a die-roller as an HTML page. Check my sig.
