Contested Outpost-Intel Sweep and overlapping Objectives

By WGNF911, in Star Wars: Armada Rules Questions

I might be getting this confused with the special rules for Fire Lanes but I haven't found anything definitive to satisfy my question. Being an X-Wing player and new to Armada, I'm learning that there are a lot of similarities that lead to confusion so here's my question: if you are overlapping an objective (token or space station) are you at range 1 of that objective or, as in Fire Lanes, are you considered to not be in control of that objective to be awarded a token? Thanks in adbvance for helpin and please, if there is a reference, list it.

If you are touching, than you are "at", as defined as "at" in the Rulebook. "AT" means "ANY PART OF YOU AT", which means even if your front is on it, your back is going to be near it...

Fire Lanes is actually a specific exception to the rule, and thus, it is specified that it is given to the enemy at that point...

I thought I might have been reading into it too much, but with all the other rule quirks, I wanted to ensure I wasn't X-Wing'in it haha. Thanks.
