Another question about the new playmats.

By Harlock999, in X-Wing

Hey, everyone!

So I received my Bespin playmat in the mail the other day and just had a chance to roll it out. I also placed it next to my Starfield playmat.

Well, I noticed something... The Bespin playmat is quite a bit lighter than the Starfield playmat. The black space area is more of a dark gray. (The Starfield playmat, meanwhile, is definitely black with white stars.)

Has anyone else noticed this?

Or are everyone else's Bespin playmats nice and dark? And fit in just perfectly next to their Starfield mats?

(I really don't want to go down the path of OCD, but I'd be lying if I said this didn't bug me at all.)

Wouldn't know. Not out in the FLGS yet.

Will let you know when it does.

My Bespin mat is a bit lighter, but hardly noticeable.

Haven't gotten mind yet either, not store released and all, and it might sound silly but try rising your plain star field may 90°. The direction of the fabric that is on the surface does subtly change depending on the direction of the warp/weft. As bad as you make it sound though that likely won't cut it.

I have 2 starfield mats and one is lighter dark than the other. So it is not the Bespin but the mats themselves that might be different.

Mine just came yesterday at the FLGS.
