  • Omega Leader [Juke, Comm Relay]
  • Redline [FCS, EM, Flechette Torps, Cluster Missiles]
  • Soontir Fel [PTL, SD, ATs]

Tournament tomorrow, I decided to pick up this squad. Has anyone experience with something similar and some pointers as to how i should fly and deploy? A bit stupid to just wildly go for something entirely new, but that squad looks like my kind of squad.

It should be able to do alright. Easiest way to fly it I would think is keep Red & OL together with Soontir on a flank. Don't die :P

Nah, that's not stupid, I do it all the time. I prepare a team for an upcoming tournament and then, a day or 2 before the big day, I get a new idea and switch my team.

As for your team itself, I would personally switch the Stealth Device for a Targetting Computer on Soontir and upgrade the Flechette Torpedoes on Redline for a Plasma Torpedo. This way, Soontir is more threatening and if you go against a high shield target (like B-Wings or most large base ship), your torpedoes will make for a great opening attack.

Like Blade suggested, I would start with all three ship in a corner, move in one direction with Redline and Omega and the other with Soontir to flank.

I expect quite a few aces, so Flechettes will do work. I just like stressdealing. Plasma Redline is a good build, though. Its just a meta call.

Hi,

This is an interesting list.

And how are you going to manage this list and which will be the strategy agains TLTs?

Because Redline will go down fast against them.

Soontir can pretty much solo TLTs, hes the insurance. I failed pretty hard in the tournament, taking only 1 out of 3 games and in the end being 6/8, but my problem was not TLTs. In fact my one win was against a Miranda Horton Kyle list. Redline always has a good shot at taking out TLTs before they can shoot, so he isn't entirely useless, especialy since he needs 9 TLT shots to perfectly hit to die. One game was killed by a good Stresshog player that baited me into trying to catch Miranda, which was unbelieveably stupid of me. The other game was decided by a stupid crit that made Soontirs turns red - got that one from an asteroid when taking a manouver that put me into the perfect position. A risk taken gone very bad. The list definitly is fun, but I am not too convinced by Redline. Didn't meet his best matchup, though, which would be low agility high point value ships like Decimators or YTs, that might have changed something.

Juke works best when you have more than one. I was crushed by a list of four TIE/FO all with juke.

In general that is true, but we are talking about Omega Leader here, who prevents dice modification for his target, making Juke an infinite Crackshot.

I'm keeping my Punishers and Bombers in the box until Chips and LRS's hit the table. However, Redline is pretty decent without them. He'll be brutal with Chips with Cluster missiles. I like the list though.

I thought that was omega ace. His is the spend target lock and focus for two crits. Sorry, I got them switched. Lol.

I'll definitly put it on the table with Chips again. Cluster Missiles aren't as crazy with Chips as it seems since you can only use them once per turn, but it should still be pretty great.
