I keep checking for a preview despite not actually giving a single smeg about the ship, or it's cards. A preview does, however, mean the wave is shipping, and the countdown to TAP goodness begins.

Hehe, not likely though. A PS 9 with such a good ability will almost see play with any dial, especially considering the PWT and EPT slot. People will know what to do with this.
And Tel Trevura's ability, if the wiki is correct, looks incredibly powerful. It seems he gets all his shields back the moment he should be dead?!

No, just one hull. I think "cancel all damage" refers to the active attack.
One hull (or Two, if you have a hull upgrade) only, nowhere does it say you get your shield tokens back.
The hull upgrade is not "flipped" when taking damage but simply increases the total hull value.

No. Gaining a shield is not the same as removing damage.
