Best way to use multiple Raiders in a list?

Don't necessarily want to spank him. Just prove you don't need Star Destroyers for Imperials to win.

DarkenAvatar, I'm liking the list with Vader and the Firespray's. Now I just need to get 3 more Firespray's.

But if you want a list with only raiders you probably need 6 of them

Dras, clon, thanks for the links! I need to spend some time pouring over them.

So, the successful way that I have seen raiders run so far, is as squadron support. My friend runs them right behind his four firesprays, rhymer, dengar, and Vader. Any squadron threats that the firesprays and Vader are unable to deal with are severly hamppered by the double re-rolling black dice from those guys its pretty brutal. They pretty much never engage ships. The isd2 avenger and the firesprays do that work.

I do have an itch at the back of my mind that suggests this... an earlier game this afternoon saw me do a number on some fighter squadrons with a Raider-I and ordnance experts, but the problems inherent in activating Raiders second remained. They died too easily with only one shot at maximum firepower. I'm hoping by studying the replays I get some ideas on deployment and how to steer them in relation to my opponent.

It's weird, as much as I come down on Raiders and feel they're just handing points to my opponent, I refuse to give up on them. Probably because I own three and want them to work. Thanks guys!

Not a worry, Norsehound... I honestly just had to find them and pass them on, as I have zero experience of my own... I'm one of those Crowds who never really left the idea of the Victory as a Ship of the Line behind... That makes me a bit old-school in the Imperial thought patterns...

Massed Firepower and Bombers, and what little mercy we have can be exposed to hard vacuum with their bodies...

Thus, so far, I only own the One Raider and thus, are not much further help :)
