"Place near the river", place near the cabin", what does this mean?

There should be tiles (complete, physical pieces of map) labeled "the stream" or "the cabin". Any space on that piece of cardboard is a valid space for placement, in that case. The actual artwork of a river or a cabin is irrelevant (that is, "place on the river" means "place in any space on the tile containing the river." It does not mean "place on the watery spaces that look like a river."
