Anyone running an online game looking for a player?

By nohero, in Star Wars: Edge of the Empire RPG

I'm starting to run my own games at home, but finding my local gaming group a little flaky.

Does anyone play online? Is it even possible? Do you have room for one more (newbie)?

I'm in the UK if that makes a difference.

Not particularly interested myself,

but in terms of possibilty, https://roll20.net/is a great web-app wich provides a digital tabletop.

It has a very powerful API wich is also capable of supporting FF StarWars dice rolls.

It also supports digital character sheets with wich you can simply click a skill and it will execute the correlating roll, in addition to all kinds of crazy stuff.

Even has build in VoIP and webcam support for the players.

For this particular case you would require a premium account to set it up though.

Here is a great guide on how to set it up, if you're interested:

Thanks that is useful.

Yes I would rather play face to face, but this might be my only option at this rate.

I've done it before and it's not soo bad to be honest.

As long as everyone has a fairly decent microphone.

It is quite convenient in many aspects but you are right, the round-table feel is kinda lost.

Also, you get to keep your snacks to yourself :P

*edit*

ps

Roll20 also has a lfg sections on their site, maybe you'll find people there.
