I think it's all about a release plan:
I mean hell X-wing has a wave incoming...why would they directly compete with their own product...they know they have a huge chunk who does X-wing and Armada.

While I do believe you, I find it interesting that you have made an assertion and then tell others to go find the proof. lol

I would agree with this notion if not for one thing. X-Wing ALWAYS has a wave incoming at this point. If they wait to bring Armada stuff till there is a break in X-Wing, then this may truly be the 'end' of Armada!
Since I don't subscribe to the "Armada is dying, they aren't going to support it" naysayer mentality, and I fully believe more is coming, I suspect it is just a slow moving process and the wave 2 debacle has made them gun shy about making any announcements yet.
Patience grasshopper!
If wave 3 doesn't have a vindicator class and an immobilizer class I'll cry, as that means I'll have to wait at least two years to see those ships released if they maintain the current release rate...
I agree, one of the ways these games grow is adding new things and when people see the new things advertised then they buy the game.
I kinda feel like this game is dieing in my area, I haven't met a new player in months and the last 2 tournaments we had fell through because only 2 guys showed up.
yea I get what your saying over here we just started a new league (fingers Crossed) that we can keep it going.
but I know a lot of people who are Hesitant to get into the game because of the cost.
and it to bad its a really good game. only one gaming store my area has good Armada group all the others no
I play for two reasons one so I can play with my kids but I keep it simple with them no upgrades,
but I want to play these upgrades so off to gaming store I go to play.
but the lack of wave 3 news is a bit disturbing and makes me nervous that there is more going on.

I hope so.....
It is getting a bit odd to go so long without a in the wings product. Though FFG has made a lot of efforts to bring announcement, previews, and release date all closer together.

Were you expecting him to provide an APA-formatted citation?
Of course, they're already working on Wave 4. They have an 18-month lead-time. That probably means they're already conceptualizing Wave 5!
While I'm also starting to get ornery for the lack of news, I have to also say that I haven't actually fully explored Wave 2 yet - and that's coming from an Empire-only player. I have an ISD and two Raiders still in their original wrapping. Part of that is because I picked up two ISDs and a Raider from the Sullust tournaments [/bragging], which I did unwrap, but also because I'm not yet sure what to do with the Raiders.
A good reason behind that is because I'm a squadron-heavy (>110pnts of mostly bombers) player in a local meta that doesn't do that. So, until my meta gets wise to me and brings more fighters (=non-bomber squadrons) to the table, I don't have to evolve and see how the Raider can fit into my meta.
The point of mentioning that is that the wave two meta hasn't fully run its course in my area, and I imagine that many other local metas are also still developing. We shouldn't want wave three to come out yet (though an announcement would be nice).

Google searches are simple and easy but I will humor you. This is the same interview where speed 4 MC30 was confirmed (after I found the fact that the ship card had a white square at the sped 4 column)
As for Mikael Hasselstein's meta. . . I have explored a lot of it from both sides and I am no where near figuring it out. I doubt the IFF guys know either and I am willing to bet that they have more games in than most anyone else
Wave 3 news:
Paraphrased e-mail:
"Dear [What],
We have no plans to release an Armada playmat at this time, but watch the news! WINK WINK WINK"
Again, paraphrased.
Thus my typical response. And so it begins...again.
I love trend analysis. While a useful business tool, it is thought at the US Intelligence Academy as a method to understand why countries, militaries and other entities do what they do. Here let me show you a trend.
Wave 1 was released at GenCon in 2012, that was August 16th
Wave 2 was released on February 28th (look at that it was over 6 months) while their Kessel Run event (same thing as our Sullust event) occurred in December. Oh to help you more, They previewed Wave 2 in September 2012.
Wave 3 was released on September 13th, WOW what a long wait there! You know. . . Wave 3 was not even announced until May 4th so that was 2 months from the time of Wave 2's release
Wave 4 was not even announced until February 7th! Talk about a wait and a half!
Super annoying. Can you just not post in these threads?! No one is interested in your trends or your military intelligence.
To take that back around.
If its possible for him to not post in these threads...
... its entirely possible for people to not create these threads in the first place.

If you are going to make an assertion, it's not unreasonable to back that assertion up. Generally speaking, you don't ask your audience to prove the point you are trying to make.

Armada core 1: Announced August 8, 2014 / Released March 27, 2015 (nearly 8 months apart)
wave 1:Announced November 10, 2014 / Released May 15, 2015 ( 6 months apart)
wave 2:Announced April 6, 2015 / released November 26 2015 ( 7 months apart)
wave 3:diddly squat
today: January 29th 2016 (over 2 months from the Release of wave 2)
according to your x-wing dates it took 1 year from the PREVIEW of wave 2 for wave 3 to release. Comparing this to Armada we should get wave 3 in April which is less then 2 months away...
even if they were to announce to day it is not realistic to expect it before August let alone April.
in short your Dates are reaching the point of becoming useless data as the wave 3 announcement dates are already surpassing the examples you have given, this is were our frustration comes in...
(also this is not an attack against you Lyr I happen to be quite fond of you, just pointing out some additional info)

Don't create the threads and you won't get facts. Deal with it as you see fit.

The information I gathered is only a single source but oddly enough it is fairly accurate. I am still going with something coming out in February
I'm also guessing February Lyr. Eventually we have to be right!

Good Lord, now you're both being obnoxious.
Sure, Reiryc, best practices would have had him providing the link. At the same time, he does most of his online communication on a cell phone, which makes always re-finding and providing the link fairly cumbersome. Most people could have taken the reference he did give and plenty to go on.
Lyraeus, while professionally agree with the pedagogy, you're hardly Reiryc's teacher. Please lay off the pedantry.
Now, can we get back to griping about the lack of news? That way FFG's intern moderating this forum three weeks from now can tell his supervisor that the natives are restless, who can then shrug it off and get back to work.

People tend to believe what they see and what they find with their own capabilities over being shown something from somewhere else.
It falls in line with the simple fact that history repeats itself. It repeats because people want to make their own mistakes and learn the same lessons the hard way.
Go on, go look it up and prove me wrong.
