Welp! As the title says. Been tweaking a scum list to take to my first Store Championship. I'm a returning player after a few years and basicly decided to give the tournament scene a try like back in my 40k and Warmachine days.

Was enjoying the idea of taking Boba and Kath for a spin so after some tweaking I came up with the following list:

The Kath build started off with the Typical K4, HLC and PTL. But I ended up not liking how it played out with Boba running around. Not to mention I really enjoy the Double Focus for defense and turtling up with Double Focus + Evade when I need to and Double Focus + Target Lock if I really need to focus fire.

Not to mention that I felt bleh without having engine upgrade.

The Inertial Dampeners I was also iffy with at first, but so far they've actually saved my butt quite a few times and gotten me some nasty shots from Boba and Kath.

[Current Plan]

So far my plan has been to keep them pretty close together. I've been toying with deploying horizontal on my end at the complete opposite of where my opponent places his. Then moving fast with the help of Boosts to try and get an early joust thats in my favor. Kath moves up first but quickly fades in behind Boba with a Target Lock and Double Focus. Then Boba moves in with Double Focus and rerolls. Usually shooting at high priority targets first and then breaking off to pew pew with the butt cannons.

So far I'm really liking how the two work together and it seems that itd be fun to run with the two Sprays vs playing Brobots.

and oh lord those Seismic charges on Boba can be so fun.

[PTL or VI on Kath]

Something I've been toying with in my head. I really REALLY enjoy PTL on Kath. But I'm unsure of the meta I'll encounter at the Tournie. Most of my games I usually run her as normal and just go for Focus and only PTL when I feel it will make the most impact. Not to mention if she gets ignored and they sight in Boba she can do some uber damage output or even go Double Focus + Evade if she gets chased down.

I have however been toying with the idea of going a wee bit safer and putting VI on her, but then I worry I'll miss the impact PTL has made in some of my playtests.

Although I do like the idea of having a PS10 and PS9 aswell as a better initiative bid.

The more I think on it VI may be the better choice...

I currently own all of the released content aswell (Except the Tantive IV) so if you think of another list I should give a try instead dont be afraid to offer up an idea!

Not really sure how I feel about PtL on kath honestly. I tried it once quite awhile back but I couldn't fly her for a **** then and I was over using it to boot.

VI is the safer avenue but I kinda like the idea of a turtled kath.. makes her similar to fett in close. Otoh if your using it very sparingly then theres argument for stims instead. The disynergy with ID is kind of a turn off but ID can win games so theres that. I would expect to encounter some stress control but it won't be on every list.

For my part I love recspec on sprays but on fett I prefer tactician + stims since I tend to use evade liberally. Lots of ways to build them though so fly what your comfortable with, and either way nice list.
