What's the magic ordnance number? Specifically on bombers

I'm stoked on those new Gamma Squad Vets and I can't wait to get them on the table, but I'm having trouble figuring out how much to spend. I am way too tempted to run them at 31 points, loaded up with guidance chips, extra munitions, plasma torps, cluster missiles, and predator, but I can't shake the feeling that it's too much!

How much do I spend on a bomber? Which EPT makes the most sense? Help me, Obi-Wan Kenobi! You're my only hope!

Deadeye. You want Deadeye on those Gamma Vets. Also, keep them cheap.

Go with Deadeye, Extra Munitions, Proton Torps, and Guidance Chips. If they live long enough to get both missiles off they've done their job.

I'm leaning toward, extra munitions, and either one set of plasma torpedoes, fletchette torpedoes, or cluster missiles. Then a Seismic charge, just in case somebody tries to get behind them.

As for EPT, Crack Shot is what I'm leaning toward.

Well what ever it is it is certainly not a number from 0 to 12.

I usually go with 1 ordnance upgrade and 1 Extra Munitions card. Every time your ship dies with unspent ordnance, you wasted that many points, it's like you started a game with a points handicap.

You want something like Homing Missile, Extra Munitions, Long Range Scanners, and Seismics on a Scimitar. 25 points. Or a control ship like LRS, Ion Pulse Missiles, extra munitions, Conner Net on a Scimitar for 25.

Gamma Squad Veteran, Deadeye, LRS, IPM's and extra munitions is 25 points. You'll have the TL for modifying and be able to fire with the focus token, meaning that you could fire it at will instead of being tied down to shooting it at the thing you had target locked.

Nice and lean, but deadly. A 31 point Bomber is too bloated. Once you're in that territory you'd be better with Redline in the Punisher.

Bombers are kind of like B-Wings in that they're decently priced generics but their named pilots are too costly with no long term durability, so making aces out of them isn't a very good idea.
