Command & Colonel

I'm a very new player in xwing, but I have a list that I would love insights on my list I call Command & Colonel.

Commander Kenkirk: 44

-Hull Upgrade. : 3

-Opportunist : 4

-Plasma Torpedoes: 3

-Ysanne Isard : 4

-Mara Jade : 3

Total: 61

Colonel Vessery : 35

-Outmanuver : 3

-TIE Mk. II : 1

Total: 39

Point Cost: 100

Any thoughts on different ships to swap for the defender, the weaknesses of this list, etc. would be awesome. Thanks guys!

You won't be able to use opportunist very often, I would suggest push the limit instead because of a neat trick you can do. Once you take a damage, Ysanne triggers at the start of combat. Because her ability is an action, you can trigger push the limit off of it to give yourself another action. Boost works really well at this point, because regardless of pilot skill, all other ships will be done moving by this point.

Here is the list:

Kenkirk w/ push the limit, ysanne isard, rebel captive & engine = 58

Vessery w/ outmanoeuvre, ion cannon & TIE mk 2 = 42

Vessery will become considerably more powerful once Imperial Veterans is out, but until then, you can get value out of the ion cannon by making it easier for Vessery to k-turn behind targets to activate outmanoeuvre, allowing a powerful primary weapon shot with the target at -1 agility and unable to shoot back...

Y-wings with TLT will melt the decimator. I used Corran and a y-wing with an ion turret to destroy one. I haven't fought the against a TIE Defender yet, so I don't know it's strengths and weaknesses yet.

With engine on the decimator, you can prevent the y-wing(s) from getting shots, so its not as bad for the decimator as you might think (not to mention, the decimator can deal A LOT of damage to a y-wing at R1).

I don't think the y-Wing would have any trouble keeping a decimator at range 2 or 3. I used a y-wing with ion canon turrets and had no problem keeping it at range 2. And if you have two with TLT you're always gonna have at least one with a good shot.

Yes. Its very hard for the decimator to keep all TLTs from having a shot, but if you can keep 1 or 2 of them from shooting you've seriously cut his offense out.

You have 37 points to play with, so whatever you want to throw in there. I used Col. Crack as an example.
Once you get a damage card, the Decimator can cancel two hits every round. 1 evade from Isard and the other from the Emperor. It actually makes the Decimator pretty hard to kill especially with the ability to boost off the Isard evade after everyone has already moved. You can arc-dodge PS 11 Vader.
