To scale CR-90

By Ken at Sunrise, in Star Wars: Armada

Okay I know this is kind of a foolish question. But does anyone know where I can get a reasonably detailed CR-90 scaled to the Imperial Star Destroyer.

Yes I know it would be somewhere around 1/4"-1/2". So really the detail would be limited. But I'm hoping it is at least recognizable as the CR-90, painted and all.

Has anyone see this? I'm neither a painter or modeler so I thought I'd throw this out there.

This has been done, yes. You could try shapeways. I think that is where I saw it.

Another issue the creator had with the cr90 was that it had too much firepower compared to the star destroyers, so he made each cr90 "unit" a group of them like a squadron. That way, their combined firepower made a little more sense.

Look for the 1:7000 scale ships in both Mel's and Tsalt's collections.

What scale is the ISD? I thought the Victory was about 1:7000.

Are they the same?

I've left Mel two private messages since Jan. No response.

These look to be about 1.3" long. Looking at the docking bay in the ISD shouldn't the CR-90 be about 1/4" to 1/2" or so?

I know that is small but I am looking for something that is scaled relative to the ISD rather than a sliding scale.

I have those models. The problem is that the FFG ISD is not quite 1/7000. The diecast ISD made by Disney is though. But having both Tsalt's (Utar's) Cr-90s and FFGS ISDs on the table, they do look right for being in scale.

Most if not all 'to scale' models for armada use the Victory class Star Destroyer as their point of reference. Since that ship is roughly 1:7000, so are most of the alternative models. The ISD unfortunately is not 1:7000, but more like 1:9000 (I don't know the exact scale however). Now, there is 1 manufacturer that I know that makes ships in a scale smaller than 1:7000 scale, namely 1:10000, and they specifically also have the CR90 in 1:10000, but I have no idea if its legal. If you search for 1:10000 star wars models in google it should come up as one of the top results.

Not sure if that scale will be too small though.

Its 1/7000, around which i center my Star Wars Armada and Star Trek: Armada fleets. Problem: The ISD from FFG isnt 1/7000 itself.

On a related note the most amazing this about the Battlefront video game to me was Jakku. Seeing that CR90 on the ground and being able to walk around it is amazing.

I got killed SO many timed just admiring it.

You too. I felt soooooo guilty the first few times I played. I'd stand there and watch the Star Destroyer crash into the planet or just walk around the CR-90. Too bad it isn't to scale in the game either. Far too small. But still very cool. I love the graphics of Jakku the best of all.
