EVERYONE! What squads do you like to bring?

Ok, not everyone...Rebel players, at least...

So let's say you have a non-bomber list that relies on your ships to do most of the damage and you're looking to fill the remaining 50-70 points...what squads do you, personally, prefer to bring, and why? There's no wrong answer to this. Lyraeus and I had a skirmish this evening and I brought along 2 A-wing and 2 2400s, with the idea of having the As tie up squads and the 2400s take advantage of their Rogue ability. They all died, but his squads didn't really do much to my ships, either. We talked about some ideas for mixing up my squads and I realized that there's so much to choose from. So what are your favorites?

I like Luke, Wedge and Dutch because they are all very multirole - great fighters, but also great bombers as well. When I started out I had a tendency to over-invest in A-wings and the like and get foxed when the opponent brings few or no squadrons, and no bombers in any case, meaning all those anti starfighter assets you got become useless. Been a big fan of multirole squadrons ever since.

That said, A-wings are perfect for peeling off TIEs from the edge of the swarm and generally disrupting the enemy. 50-70 points and primarily as a screen, I'd probably go for Luke, Wedge and 2 or 3 A-wings. Swap an A-wing for Tycho Celchu - scatter is usually worth 5 points IMO - or Dutch Vander to taste.

If I am flying Rebels I like Luke, Wedge and Dutch or Jan, Wedge and Dutch. If I go generic, I like 4-5 YT-2400's.

I rely mostly on my ships but I run the following as a anti-bomber force and can double as a bomber force themselves if the opponent goes squadron light due to the 3 red bomber dice and the 3 black non-bomber dice.

They actually got me the win in one game in the store champs in the squadron phase on the last turn by chewing through the last 2 hull points of an MC80 that was out of range of everything else. Just speed-bumped them.

I'm flying Jan Ors, 3 x X-Wings and 2 x A-Wings - 80 points

X-Wings are quite hardy with Jan in the mix allowing them to use brace and she survives as the X-Wings have escort.

The A-Wings can jump where they are needed due to their speed.
