Clones and the Order 66

By TS Hawk, in X-Wing Off-Topic

Ok so for the most part the clones when they got the order 66 from Palpatine/Darth Sidious they completed their jobs and killed their jedi masters. However how did Wolfe, Rex, and Gregor not part take in order 66 or did they?

In rebels, Rex said that they had removed their chips, so they didn't have the compulsion to kill Jedi, just the conditioning of their training to follow orders.

Plus, for Rex at least, his commanding Jedi was Anakin, so he didn't have a target anymore. (The exact details of where Rex was and what he did on that specific day would be interesting, since he is basically the one clone that could have remained loyal to his general).

Atleast Legends continuity wise, he would've already left the army by that point, because Appo was in charge of the 501st during Order 66.

But yes, Rex and a few other clones had their chips removed, and for Gregor, RCs never had chips to begin with.

Gregor has the scar:

Wasn't this explained by Dave Filoni? Something about having seen it, the magic wears off. These clones knew about the chip from Fives (was it Fives?) and Tup so... yeah.

You guys should watch Rebels Recon after watching Rebels. it answers all sorts of interesting questions, similar to this one. Plus it has the gorgeous Andi Gutierrez!

the Rebels Recon videos are must watches.

But yeah, Fives found out the truth about the chips in their heads and he told Rex about it before he died.

Rex believed him, and he Wolffe, and Greggor removed their chips.

What happened after that is still a mystery. Somehow they got out of it without being executed for treason and ended up in their little retirement walker on the Ceelo system or whatever it's called.

I'm wondering how Gregor survived the explosions in his TCW episode and got off that planet in the first place.

Must be a thing about people called Andi....

She is gorgeous though, I'll grant that.

This is all explained if you watch the first story arc of Season 6 of the Clone Wars and one of the early episodes of season 2 of Rebels.

In the Siege of Lothal which started off season 2 I don't remember there being anything said about the chips? And sadly no longer have disney xd on my dish channels so can't watch it.

2:2 the lost commanders. I am sure it was mentioned.

Yes, in the first episode that they meet the clones, Rex said that he and the others removed their chips and never killed their Jedi.
