Saska

Adrenaline Injector does not require a Move action specifically, you can get to perform a move also otherwise - from mission rules or Gideon's Command.

But I get your point about 4 XP being too much for 2mp and focused for 1 strain. On the other hand, if the heroes do not have another source of the focused condition, then it might just be worth it.

The Problem with Saska is that she doesn't feel powerful. She doesn't give actions like Gideon, but she makes success just that bit more probable - which means you only need to shot once or make an attribute test once. In a way, that is also action economy, since her core ability doesn't cost an action and she can dish out quite a bit Damage for herself. Surges are quite often crucial and much more powerful than just +1 dmg, especially Cleave, Blast and Stun Abilities. Most of her other abiltiies try to secure success. Just charged in with Gaarkhan, cleaving those Stormtroopers and now they have one hp left? Throw that unstable device. Heavy Stormtrooper surging for blast or Royal Guard surging for stun? Neutralize that with your Energy shield. Wouldn't do any damage against Vader or Weiss because your attack is to weak? Use that Adrenaline Injector and/or Power Converter. Need to do a skill check? Saska got your back.

It's all those little things that add up and they don't cost Saska an Action. It is important to note that since you can bunker those surges, you can use it in a critical moment.

I think the very core is Gadgeteer. It's crucial to use her core ability twice and Gadgeteer enables her to do some wicket combinations. One Fun thing with Saska that her character isn't set on a specific weapon like most other characters. You can build her as you want and perhaps we can find some fun combinations in this threat:

DXR-6 with Overcharger
Pulse Cannon with Disruption Cell and Tactical Display
Vibro Knucklers with High-Impact Guard
You can really feel how useful she is if the Imperial Player plays Subversive Tactics. The endurance scarcity makes her power more visible. It is as powerful if Subversive Tactics isn't there, but doesn't feel that strong.

Also, Characters like Gideon can be a bit daunting to play. If you are no alpha gamer but want to play a support character, Saska is the better choice - else the rest of the group will play Gideon for you.

Problem with Saska: To really get her to a good dps level herself, you need a lot of credits.

Like in this play of Target of Opportunity Saska puts Plasma Cell on DXR-6 and takes down the "reinforced" door during the first rebel activation without even moving first. The mission was won by the rebels right there.
