Has got to be this.
Apparently this is how the younglings learn about the past these days? Haha, I'm okay with that.

First of all, take that word younglings out back, shoot it and bury it next to padawan.
This was released prior to Phantom Menace, wasn't it?
Lol, cringe worthy isn't it?
I'm not sure what's more fun, trying to enjoy the movies as they are, or watching Ewan McGregor try to keep his composure!
I've been on a mission lately to watch the PT films and I've been failing pretty hard. My wife admitted to me while we were struggling through Return of the Sith that the only reason she knew anything about Star Wars was this song. We shut off the movie and listened to Weird Al instead.
And yes, I do believe Weird Al released this just as the film was hitting it's pre-release hype.
Edited by DarkcloakThe best way to enjoy them is to never watch them. They're always worse than you think.
Oh I dunno, don't get me wrong the PT was bad, but... some parts were okay. Obi Wan was solid, pod racing was fun. I think there was a part in Attack of the Clones that I liked maybe? I honestly haven't finished Revenge of the Sith yet. I keep getting distracted by this paint chip in the window sill.
I mis-titled the movie name in the first post. That tells you how well it sticks in my mind, haha!
Anyways. I think I could probably get behind a PT remake, or maybe a TV cartoon serialization or a comic book. Really Clone Wars the TV show did a lot to soften up a lot of the PT hate for me, especially towards Anakin.
I'd have said the best way to watch the PT is 'going up in smoke on a bonfire'
Can you tell i'm not a fan of them ?
Ah, that's why you just let loveable Weird Al teach you about the PTs. Well the first one anyways. I don't think we really need much more info than a couple verses and a chorus do we? He is infinitely more serious about it than Georgie was!
I still have to finish that last one too...
I mean, here's one way.
Just... Stop worrying?
I just wanted to share something funny my wife told me. I don't like the PTs and I used to think about why I didn't like them a lot, when it was more relevant, but now it's just kinda like, oh well, ya know? I am actually enjoying watching those movies again, but certainly not because they're any good. It's more of a cinematic romp.
More to the point, it's funny that some people never watched any Star Wars at all and yet, still know the story. My wife had never seen Star Wars before she met me, but she knew all the words to this song.
I mean, here's one way.
Just... Stop worrying?
Stop worrying about what?
History?
We know the films are terrible, yes there is some cool stuff in them but the bulk of the PT is just trash
I've greatly enjoyed Auralnauts' dubs of them.
There's the first one for instance, but they already covered 4 movies so far, they are pretty amusing.
Well if your going to go ahead and watch them I would advise you put on one of these sensory deprivation "Ostrich Pillows" and slip it on just as the opening crawl comes up.

I like the PT, especially 1 and 3. Are they great films? No, but they did expand upon and keep the Star Wars universe relevant. If not for 1-3 making George Lucas a ton of money and proving that Star Wars was still a cash cow, even when the current movie was less than stellar, Disney would never have bought the franchise and Star Wars would have died out. We might not even have this game we all love. The PT are not great cinema, but the story is ok and enjoyable. Take them for what they are, and you'll enjoy them more.
I don't know about the best way, but the only way is while inebriated.
It helps take the edge off
No matter how much you hate Jar Jar Binks. The prequels are still better than this unholy abomination from the Dark Side of the Sith.

No way. Star wars was still going fine off the OT. Making plenty of toys and books that spawned even more toys and video games that spawned yet more toys....
If anything the PT hurt star wars more that not having the PT. It also hurt Sci-Fi in general.
For all most 10 years after the PT Sci-Fi on the big screen was almost non existent.
Wait, how the hell is that The PT's fault? That's just reaching dude.
It's ridiculous, is what it is.
It's ridiculous, is what it is.
It's a whole new level of Prequel-Blame. Since TFA was actually good they can't blame it for "ruining" Star Wars, I guess? IDK.
It's nuts.
I hope we forget that entire abomination in its entirety.
Jedi starfighters, naboo starfighters, buzz droids. All of it.

Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat?
Dude the ETA-2 Actis is such a cool TIE Fighter precursor come on man.

Of all the things in the Prequels to hate, the star fighters and capital ships are certainly not the things. Those are the best parts of the Prequels. I'm personally not a fan of the Nubian designs, but I understand why they were made (they were supposed to be from "a more Civilized Age"). But seriously. The ETA-2 Actis was awesome, and the ARC-190 is solid. Even the Droid fighters were not that bad.
Hate on the Prequels all you want, but do it for the right reasons: Jake Lloyd, Jar Jar, and Lucas's sins (can't write dialogue, relied almost entirely on CGI, and has no idea what romance is).
PT > TFA
It told an original story to fill in the backstory. It wasn't just a "updated" (read poorer) version of Episode IV.
Some of the things I liked:
The lightsaber scenes were WAY better.
Jango Fett and Slave I are a better combo than Kylo Ren and that shuttle.
General Grevious is more interesting than Captain Phasma as a "baddie sidekick"
Clonetroopers look better than FO Troopers and have better training and indoctrination.
The pod racing scene was cool.
It showed a planet full of Wookies....AAARRRGGHH!
So by all means hate the PT all you like, it won't change a thing.
I hope we forget that entire abomination in its entirety.

Nope, burn it all to the ground. It's the only way we can collectively forget about that abomination.
And the ETA was an Awing with little wings and no shields. Like if the awing and a TIE went back and time and had a love child.
Besides, even if they are brought into Xwing, the Republic Fighters should be (fluff wise, since you know... Successor state, same military...) on the side of the Empire while the Seperatists would be part of the Rebellion, and god **** if that wouldn't make people salty either way.
