CR90 A
Because: I like "pimp" its engine, drop movement commands and go like stink.......
So what's your armada guilty pleasure and why ?

Rebels, MC30, the Mohammed Ali of Armada.
Imperial, ISD, it is an effing ISD!!! The Imperial march plays in my head each time I move the sucker.
MC30 second is the Nebulon-B but I've always had a soft spot for the Nebulon-B
Definitely the Gladiator. Quick, flexible, and you can build Demolisher into a powerhouse with Engine Techs and Ordnance Experts. Plus, the style of the ship looks awesome. It has more pointy things than a regular Star Destroyer, 10/10.
I'm still looking for my favorite. I've been playing with Victory-Is a lot lately, but mostly as cheap-but-tanky carriers.
I really wanted to love the Raider (I have the X-Wing version, and three of the Armada versions), but I've just not really found a role for it in my play style. Two of those Armada Raiders are still in their package.

Best way to keep a raider alive is to fly two of them in on the same target. If you can try to have them offside a ISD all going in make the enemy fire obstructed. Once those raiders get close good lord they are NASTY!
My favorite ship to play around with is the MC80 with Engine techs. Spamming Nav commands I Tokyo drift like a champ. Try to get out this side arc I dare you.
1. X-wing
-Has 4 lasers. Therefore, goes "pew pew pew pew"
2. Imp-star
-Big, pointy, and big.
3. Nebulon-B
-Weird looking outboard motor with antennae
Loving the Raider more and more. After I learned to avoid dying its a lot more fun lol.
The Imperial Star Destroyer, because 85% of the reasons I play this game is a tiny Figure in my head that chants:"STAR DESTROYER,STAR DESTROYER,STAR DESTROYER,STAR DESTROYER,STAR DESTROYER,STAR DESTROYER,STAR DESTROYER,..."
My 2nd favorite is a tie between Demolisher and all dead Rebel ships (because they both make me so happy
)
I love the ISD top, it's iconic and imposing. A massive arrogant wedge.
I also love the Gladiator. I don't quite know why, but I love how it fills in a nice gap. I can imagine an imperial navy officer going from Decimator > Raider > Gladiator before ending his career on a VSD or ISD if he's talented/lucky.
Avenger ISD2
Fun topic ! ![]()
Much like my partners, I like my guilty pleasures numerous and varied ![]()
Right about now, it's the Neb B (yep, that's right !). It's an unremarkable workhorse without the current meta, but after having seen this bad boy tank shots from an ISD, I'm totally sold on using more of them, more often.
In terms of the units where my heart goes toward : the X-Wing for the Rebels and the ISD for the imperials. Just these two units capture the feel of Star Wars for me ![]()
In terms of pure gameplay mechanics, I'm really digging what they done to both variants of the Assault Frigates, as they are a ship that I like to call "enabler" : they have decent firepower, decent squadron values, decent upgrade slots and decent maneuvrability but with a very good resilience for a ship this size and the latter part allows the player to do multiple strategies with relative confidence (except being in arc of 2 ISD 2s, don't do that).
I sing the praises of the Impetuous Raider I. I love decimating squadrons, thier's and mine.
1 Salvation XI-7
2 Jaina's Light with TRC
NebB, I just love flying that tough old broad with a nasty hook.
ISD, because it is Star Wars, at least for the bad guys.
Honestly my favorite ship has to be the Venator, because it's a carrier with a massive air wing that can dual role as a battleship.
Yet in Armada...it's gotta be the Victory II...it's a nasty boat!
I love the raiders.....They go pop when I broadside with my MC80. Haha.
In all seriousness I'm loving the 2 large ships. MC80 and the ISD. They just feel like proper capital ships.
And when things go wrong when using the MC80 can't help but say.... It's a trap!!
With the rise of squadrons, I've been enjoying the Assault Frigate Mark II A.

Do you run it with any anti-squadron upgrades?
Jumping in on the Gladiator love. The ISD is... It's not my favourite ship, it's my default ship - all of my fleets are built around an ISD. But in terms of what I have the most fun using, definitely the Gladiator - it's got broadsides, it's quick, but it has limitations that you have to play around. It's got character, is what I'm saying.

Just to pitch in : the best "anti-squadron" upgrade for an AFMK2A is Gunnery Team from my experience, because you don't have to make the hard choice of firing from your best arc, or using its generous angle to cover more squadrons
PDR is a solid choice, but I'd rather have the AFMK2 pop a squadron command with its escort air force for more dice.
Then the AFMK2 A works like a beefier Neb B that can both shoot and take a beating on its flanks.
It's the ISD.... It's fun to see players try to avoid her. Like the Galactic Shield Maiden she is, she's just so good at punching you in the face if you get in her way.....

Just gunnery team. That way I can attack both the ship and squadrons in front of it.
