On the Boat says 4-6 weeks typically before arriving. I'm guessing that is to the home office warehouse to then be sent to distributors, retailers. Last update for Boba Fett was 7 weeks ago. Will we get an update soon as to when this pack will once again be available at our FLGS? Thanks!
Boba Fett Reprint
If you search online, you can find Boba Fett and Han Solo packs and Twin Shadow box sets, still available. I think they had 20 of the Fett in stock and 40 of the Solo. And at really good prices, even with the shipping (unless you ordered enough for free shipping). I just got mine two weeks ago. A lot better than paying those crazy ebay/amazon prices people want.
Happy hunting!!

Yeah, online is always there and ultimately where I had to go. I found one from an online retailer that has a brick and mortar on the east coast (US). I'd really rather have spent the money at a local gaming store to support gaming in my area as opposed to a store literally 1,000+ miles away.
Will Boba/Han/Chewie likely be available again at the same time as the smuggler and the bantha rider? I can order all 5 and ship them together to save money that way
The "on the boat" status is almost never less than 8 weeks, despite what the upcoming page says. After that, it's generally about 2 weeks for something to pass through the distributors and reach store shelves.
There have been times that stuff has been delayed waaay beyond even that. A couple years ago Chinese New Year created such delays that the schedule was screwed up for the rest of the year.
(All this being based on several years of observation of x-wing's manufacturing and release schedule)
So what exactly does "Update" mean here? When I initially looked at BF it had an update of December 9, 2015. Tomorrow will be 8 weeks from that point. Checking it today it has an "Update" of 1/31/2016. Is there a way to see the original "On the boat" update date to know truly how long it has been on the boat? Someone who hasn't looked previously would think that 1/31/2016 is the original "on the boat" date and that they have up to another 8 weeks of waiting.
This doesn't affect BF for me so much now, but it does with the Bantha Rider as I know we are coming up on 7 weeks or so from the initial "on the boat" date I saw for this past December that now reads 1/31/2016.
Not complaining, just want to know how it works. I'm one of those that prefers the hard truth (i.e., "We have no idea when it's going to get here other than maybe sometime this year") rather than inaccurate optimism. Practically speaking I'd rather buy this stuff first, but if it's going to be a while I got other game stuff I want to buy from other companies with my monthly gaming budget. ![]()
It's Chinese new year now.... I got 5 weeks of work, the factory workers get 2, and then orders back up throughout the entire country for an entire quarter. If it's not actually 'on the boat' now, don't hold your breath.
So what exactly does "Update" mean here?
"update" is just referring to the last time they changed something on the upcoming page. Anything. It could have been an actual change in the status, or it could have been a spelling error being corrected. For that matter, it could have been a batch update that didn't change anything on that specific product, but did on other products and they all got "updated" together so the web site software lists it as updated, even though nothing changed.
Unless you made a note of when the status actually changed to "On the Boat" I don't know of a way to find out that information (though someone on here probably did make a note).
I had a similar frustration and spent ages checking online for retailers with stock left. In the end I found a website called shiregames.com which is based in the UK, as am I. That site is for a board game shop and it had stock of Boba Fett, I placed my order and received the item 2 days later by first class post. If you're in the UK I would recommend it, I'm not sure about international pricing.
Note that I am in no way connected with this shop, I just registered to say that I know how annoying it is to not be able to find the stock and this place seems to be one of very few which does!
I just bought a boba fett online from barnes&nobles. I got a confirmation email, too.
