Hello there fellow X-Wingers. After spending the last several months worth of breaks at work combing through this trove of insight, I have decided to post my own question.

I have my first tournament coming up and was planning on bringing the following list.

Poe Dameron w/ VI, R5-P9, Autothrusters

Miranda Doni w/ TLT

Jake Farrell w/ VI, Test Pilot, PTL, Refit, and Autothrusters

This gives me plenty of flexibility, without excelling or failing in any one category. And with pilot skills coming in at 8, 9, and 10 I will usually make sure to get my shots in for sure each round.

I have had pretty much complete success with this against my two friends who also play, but have no idea how it will stack up against a more experienced player. So, is this a decent list? Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. I don't expect to land in the top 4 by any means, but I also don't want to get thoroughly trounced in any way.

I think the biggest issue that you will face against this list will be against stress and Jake doesn't have very much punch even though he's really fun to fly. If you aren't in an area where stress dealing is common this list will be fine.

If stress becomes bothersome Tycho (AKA the honey badger) is a good stand in.

I really like this list. I agree with pretty much everything mcgoo said. Though I prefer using a second Xwing over the either of the other ships your build looks like it could be fun. I have seen it played as just a Poe and Doni but I feel like that leaves you with a lot of risk.
