leading shots and squadrons

By DUR, in Star Wars: Armada Rules Questions

Can you use LS once every roll vs squadrons, or does the while mean you can only do it once? (Does this mean OrdExp + leading shots on an ISD I = very reliable AS fire?)

E.g. MC80 command cruiser is shooting AS (BLK/BLU) and gets an acc/whiff . I reroll the black. I shoot another squadron and roll another acc/whiff. Can I reroll that too?

Every Squadron shot is a new attack for Upgrade Card Purposes.

So yes. That means you could give up a Blue Die to reroll a Black if you have Blue-Black. But you do have to remove that Blue for that attack, and you end up just rolling (rerolling) the Black. If your ISD-1 also has Ordnance Experts, then yes, you could reroll that way, too - and you could choose the order of the reroll... Rerolling the Black First, and then giving up the Blue to Reroll the Black again.

If you have an MC80, it would depend on what upgrades... Leading shots will take away one blue if you elect to reroll - I know one version has Blue-Black and the other has Blue-Blue... So you'd be giving up one Blue for the other Reroll.

The main reason why they are treated as separate attacks, is for things like the Dominator title... If they were all considered the one attack, you could spend two Shields to up the Victory's Anti-Squadron to Three Blues, and then shoot at EVERY SQUADRON in an Arc.

If you want to do that, however, you'd now be spending those shields for - EACH - attack, which cuts down its usage significantly...

Little things like this make me LOVE leading shots :)

I'll be honest... I never considered this possibility, and it's awesome!

Yep, in Wave 1, it was kind of Irrelevant... Because although we had 2-Die Ships (Neb-B Escort, AFMK-IIA, Gladiator-II), none of them had an Ion Upgrade Slot, so it was not something we even considered...

Wave 2 brings us the Imperial, the MC80, and the Raider-II... Those are the ones who can utilise it.
