All I can think of with that's are Transformers names.
Mynock's re-naming the F/O pilots
Those are some of the worst callsigns I've heard, and mine is Nancy.
Like... how much of a boot are you?
I like "Sideswipe" for Blue Ace. Just when you think you're out of arc, he whips around and nails you with hot laser fire. I love all of the others, except for Zeta Leader. To stick with the gambling theme, you could call him "Shark" or "Sharp", but that's more cards than dice.
EDIT: Just realized just how much "Sideswipe" sounds like "Sideslip". Maybe since he's so slippery we could call him "Mamba" or something?
I thought of sideswipe too, but in my mind that fits Ello Asty better. What about Whiplash or Quickswitch?
Ooh... I like Whiplash..
Yeah, whiplash works well for the PS12 guy.
Still say Highroller is a guy that makes his dice the best result. Anything else is lame.
I was trying to think of something that captured the essence of Epsilon Ace that was hinted at with some of the other suggestions like Pretender or Blowhard. Then it hit me. Epsilon Ace is a Poseur.
How about "Blue Devil" for Blue Ace to bring in the Daredevil ability and easy to remember in relation to his actual name.
I like Paladin for Red Ace. It's sufficiently tanky.

This. This I like. Count this as a vote for Blue Devil.
Given that the original premise was for the other podcasts to be involved in this process and that Bacta Dials, sorry I mean Back to Dials have renamed Epsilon Ace as Headlong (which I think is perfect) shouldn't that really stick?
To call it anything else is a bit disingenuous to the original process.
I know the guys called out the other podcasts but I also wish they had just assigned one to each of them and have the listeners of the those podcasts help out in determining the outcome, though potentially too late for that now.
For what it is worth my top 6 are:
Omega Leader: "Lockdown" (obviously)
Omega Ace: "Jackpot"
Zeta Leader: "Hotshot"
Zeta Ace: "Slider"
Epsilon Leader: "Iceman"
Epsilon Ace: "Headlong"
Callsigns are usually applied when you do something stupid, or catch your last name. They're more or less negative or pranks.
Omega Leader: Nogas
Omega Ace: Dice
Zeta Leader: Quicky
Zeta Ace: Razor
Epsilon Leader: Kasper
Epsilon Ace: Pancake

Iceman !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! <- this ![]()
Omega Leader: "Bully"
Omega Ace: "Starkiller" =D
Zeta Leader: "Boomer" <--- EDIT: "Overburn"
Zeta Ace: "Akk Dog"
Epsilon Leader: "Iceman"
Epsilon Ace: "Flash"
Wing Commander 1 edition (in the same order as the images in the OP):
Epsilon Ace: "Maniac"
Zeta Ace: "Bossman"
Epsilon Leader: "Paladin"
Omega Ace: "Spirit"
Zeta Leader: "Hunter"
Omega Leader: "Iceman"
The names in the OP right now are fantastic, though. I wish we'd gotten those instead of the extremely forgettable names FFG went with.
WC1 FTW!
Yes - I still have to look up every single name to see what they to.
So hard to remember unique abilities without an unique name or callsign.
So I like the idea of the Mynocs - but we will never settle on a specific name for non of these.
There are just too many creative ppl around ;o)
Another set of names for Epsilon Ace: Impostor. Placebo. Because he's just so fake.
What about "Toyman" for Epsilon Ace? He toys with the enemies and your emotions!
I've been saying since she came out that Epsilon Leader is just Granny Howlrunner. Growlrunner if you will.
Some of these are great and some are... not so great.
I dislike "Traitor" for Epsilon Ace. It just doesn't fit. He doesn't betray your squad, he just shrinks down to his normal size after the first hit. Others have suggested Charlatain and Blowhard and I think these are much better suited to his personality. I'm also fond of Boxcars. While I'm at it, I will also suggest Changeling or Doppelganger for your consideration.
"Sideslip" isn't awful for Zeta Ace, but Slider is so much better and rolls off the tongue easier too.
I like "Zen" for Epsilon Leader. It works and it's short and to the point.
I detest "Starslinger" for Omega Ace. I get the joke, but it leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Critter (while not great) was much better.
I don't hate "High Roller" for Zeta Leader, but I think there is probably something better.
I love "Lockdown" on Omega Leader. That's a keeper for sure.
Edited by SlipjointEpsilon Ace could be "Braggart", "Brazen", "Maverick", or "Headstrong"
I really think there is a better name than Traitor for Epsilon Ace. Something along the lines of "Hotshot" or something. Is really cool and badass until stuff hits the fan, and everything falls apart for him.
Edited by RytackleThe names sound like a list of Optimus Prime's newest Autobots
What about "Double Take" for Epsilon Ace?
Having spent the better part of the last two months flying exclusively the Omega and Zeta Leaders/Aces, the only nickname that really caught on was the obvious "Lockdown".
Omega Ace, however, I always say in my head "Omega Sanction", which is sort of Darkseid related from the DC Universe, since he has those eye blasts that will follow you till you die. It works for me, since Omega Ace guarantees you have to defend against a 3-crit roll.
Thus, I humbly recommend: Omega Ace: "Sanction"
Sorry I don't have any better ideas.
I will agree with others that "High Roller" just doesn't work for me, and Zeta Leader is one of my favorite pilots. I just call him ... "17".
Edited by PaulTiberiusHere's my suggestions:
Epsilon ace: "spook" or "spooker"
Because he gets spooked if he takes a hit.
Omega ace: "doom" or "nightmare"
Because he can turn his roll into something awful to behold.
Blue ace: "whiplash"
Fairly obvious; can pull such a tight turn that it would give a pilot whiplash.
Red ace: "chuckles"
An obscure battlestar galactica reference. In red ace's context, he laughs even when he takes a hit.
Epsilon Ace - Burnout?
Red Ace - Snap Wexley
Blue Ace - Nien Numb
