Preview Watchers...

... Where is it? Is it on the screen yet? Hit refresh, please oh god, someone hit refresh!

As someone who does exactly that, this made me laugh.

It's an expression of my inner most feelings about previews....

I can't walk away. I'm late for work, the kids are screaming. The oven is making a burning smell and my hair is all frizzy.

Ugh! Waiting for previews! Isn't it the worst?

Weirdest thing is...

We don't have kids.

It is "on the boat."

I mostly want the article because it'll mean I'm that much closer to Valen Rudor. And I guess I'll learn if I'll ever have a really pressing need to actually, like, get the Jumpmaster in the not too distant future.

I've probably checked the main page out at least 12 times today.

Easily my least favorite thing about FFG. Zero consistency concerning articles and previews.

That's a little harsh don't you think? They have a ton of games and therefore different fan bases to appease. While I too am eager to see the next preview, I am also trying to be patient and understanding as FFG works to get us the content we desire.

Honestly, that part doesn't bother me. The fact they have a "it's ready when it's ready" mentality is a good thing, and I'd much rather they work at whatever pace they need to ultimately get us the best product possible.

If there's anything I dislike about FFG, it's the fact they have basically zero presence in the community itself. I'd love if they'd pop up on the forums from time to time to answer questions instead of letting us scratch our asses wondering what a specific ruling should be, or why they made a certain decision. Paradox Interactive takes this approach over on their forum, and it's wonderful to see the devs chime in from time to time.

Meanwhile, FFG staff avoid this place like the plague. I would love to know the thought process that went behind the pricing and abilities of guys like Major Rhymer or Graz the Hunter, their own opinions on the general direction of the game, or even fun uses for cards that they personally enjoy.

Cause I bet someplace, somewhere, there's an FFG staff member going "Holy crap, I still can't believe these guys haven't figured out how to use Major Rhymer yet. Someone could freaking win World's if they flew him like I do behind closed doors!"

I don't think it's harsh at all. Do they just have one employee writing articles? Everything comes out randomly. I'm sure the article was written two weeks ago and someone just needs to upload it. This also expands to product availability. Imagine if they could announce release dates. Stores could have release events for new waves. But instead we're left in the dark quite often.

why even look for it. the moment it hits there will be several threads posted here trying to be THE place to talk about it. Everyone will know whatever there is to know within seconds

The article would have been written long before that. All Star Wars articles require being sent to Lucasfilm for approval and are then sent back to FFG for posting if approved.

Their marketing department rights the articles. It is more than one person.

I heard wave 8 is 'delayed'.

In Germany it will be available 04/20/16 , in the UK 03/15/16

One store in The UK says 1 day and 2 hours before realease, would be nice :D
