Nice, I'm constantly reminding folk that we're on a quiet carriage, and respectfully ask them to move if they want to continue their conversation. To people's credit, they respond appropriately. Only had one bogan be a hero.
Pet peeves
Years ago some people in the neighbourhood loved to play music (bad music too) loud and long. Until we started blasting some classical music in their direction. Same with a colleague a few years back who would play loud trashy grunting albanian death horror metal and saying that if X had a right to listen to the top 40 on the radio, he had a right to listen to music he liked. I agreed with him and said that I too had music I would like to play.
Ever hear of Satyagraha?
There's a fella who drives past me every afternoon on my way to the station. He has installed speakers on his car .. externally. Every afternoon, he graces us all with his totally **** melodies at umpteen zillion decibels. I just don't understand what posseses someone to do this? Seriously, apart from being a capital (insert your own favourite offensive adjective noun combo here) there is just no reason.
Amusingly, the ladies I walk with are the most vocal in expressing their disliking of his behaviour. So his 'fully sick beats aren't scoring heaps of chicks'.
It seems that the volume people publically play there music at is inversely proportional to their taste in music.
Until i read the earlier post i've never had any blast wagner or holst out of their car while driving past
Inflicting loud music on others really hacks me off. Think you music is brilliant, think everyone else should hear it.. well be a chuffing DJ then.
I dj at clubs and festivals across the uk but at home i play my music so even the neighbours cant here it because im not a rude idiot and there is a place and time for 'pounding techno beats' or 'earsplitting agrotech' and 'straightedge punk'
I also think that sometimes when i see people driving with their stereo on so loud that I cant hear my own car stereo they should be charged with driving without due care and attention as there is no way they could hear a warnig horn or siren or a pedestrian shout/scream.
God ive got annoyed just thinking about people like that.

I'm guessing that means you're a Dresden fan...

Fan of this actually:
Yeah that works too. But Dresden was funnier.

But Dresden has no helicopters. just steamboats and an accent that takes much to get used to ..
