MPG's Repaints

By MPG, in X-Wing

So I'm a new member here. I've never actually played the game before, but after looking in the repaint thread I was inspired to do my own repaints.

First up is the CR90, Liberator from Rebels. This poor thing had be restarted 3 times and was even thought of being put in storage indefinitely and replaced with a new model. Lucky for me and my wallet, however, I didn't do that.

I even thought about using the Armada A-wings for docked ships on the airlocks, but that never saw the light of day.

Next is 3 Phoenix Squadron A-wings (4th on the way), also from Rebels. I thought about doing a conversion for the stabilizers and guns, but I didn't want to ruin the models.

Finally is 2 Gray Squadron Y-wings. These are by far the best ones to come out of my repaints, mostly because of the astromechs and nice clean lines.

More to see soon!

Great work, and welcome to the forums! Get some games in soon!

Those are very well done. Excellent work.

They're really nice. I really like your Phoenix Squadron!

Welcome to the forums. First, a piece of advice. Please reduce the size of your pictures. At 5-6 megs a piece they are ridiculously large and take quite some effort for many connections to load. My tablet managed to load one and then just gave up and even my stationary computer (with a 100 mbits connection) needed about a second for each picture to load.

Beautiful repaints, especially the CR90, very brave of you to take that on! I think you made the right decision regarding not fitting in the Armada A-Wings too; it would mess with the sense of scale too much especially when it was sat next to other A-Wings!

Thanks a lot for all of your kind replies guys!

I have 2 Imperial repaints done to share today. Both turned out much better than expected.

Starting with the gozanti, I wanted to get a stronger contrast between the grays on the ship. I still need to figure out how I'm going to do the engine glow.

The lambda was just a simple repaint. I didn't really like the gritty look that it originally had, so I just made it all a clean, uniform imperial white.
