Seriously now where's the jump master article?

By Hobojebus, in X-Wing

Slam Fiasco is nothing compared to both TAP and Ghost having COMPLETELY different dials from those originally "spoiled"

Care to elaborate? :o

Did i miss something?

look at the first "reveal" article screenshots

and dials

and then look at the revealed dials

Lies. all lies.

TAP had a dial that's true? my bad.

I guess I just wanna see the goo in people.

I think it's kinda a mixed bag the previews thing. I mean on one hand it's fun to see whatcha got, but as the same time... I like that fun wait for the product drop, and then it hits the shelves and I dunno, it's kinda like crackin' packs. Un-boxing vids used to be fun.

Now... how about some blood thirsty war cries?

Trust me you don't want to see their goo. :/

The JumpMaster was specifically designed to allow a single crewmember to travel across long distances for long periods of time with relative comfort. [/size]

That sounds so... lonely. :(

Sounds like my kind of ship....

Totally born in the wrong century

We're not entitled to preview articles when we want them, or even at all.

We're not entitled to getting new releases when we want them, or even at all.

On the whole, this is a great forum that I very much enjoy reading and, recently, participating in. But threads like this remind me of... let's just say other gaming forums, ones dedicated to other companies, which are perhaps best described as being like Obi-Wan's view of Mos Eisley. I know that the OP of this thread is frustrated and unhappy that an article and ship they want are being, to their mind, delayed. But it reeks of entitlement. And I'll say it again to be clear: we, as players, are not entitled to anything.

FFG provide us with an awesome game to play, and they're really very communicative about it well in advance of any releases. But they also have dozens of other games, and fans of all those games, and have to judge what's best for their overall market. Let's be grateful for what we get.

I'm not trying to start any fight with this post, though I totally accept that I'm going to be the target of some vitriol. But I think someone needs to stand up and say that threads like this are not really the tone that we should be aiming for. As a community, we're better than entitlement.

I believe the real intent of OP is assuming that FFG is putting out articles shortly before release of an item or game. Thus the desire to see the article not just for its sake but to believe that the next wave is finally coming out.

I assume your saying "Entitlement" from a political point of view. Please drop the Right Wing political comments. The "Entitlement" line is straight out of Right Wing Teabagger Nutland. Get so tired of hearing that stupid comment as well.

For non Americans I should clarify the teabaggers are right political group and "Entitlement" is added to almost anything they feel other don't deserve to something they feel others complain about too much.

Those are some some interesting assumptions there. I am not by any stretch of the imagination right-wing. Or a Tea Party-er. Or American. In fact, I'm an extremely left-wing, ***** Brit. So... heh. That gave me a laugh. There was absolutely no political anything in what I posted, but you go ahead and read whatever you want to into it.

Really I want to see more about this asymmetrical dial and gonk.

We had two ghost articles a ship personally don't give a fig about but the ship I've been dying to see more about is a no show it's just frustrating.

I'm not entitled to articles but I am entitled to whine to my withered hearts content ;)

**** right you are, my friend. Have fun. I'll be over in the corner with my Tea Party pals, apparently. ;)

Did somebody mention tea??

I read the BBC everyday and the context of your statement is lock in step with the Tories comments. Known a few Brits in my travels and "Entitlement" is thrown around in the exact context I framed you in, usually with Scots in it. You either have bought into a political idea you claim to not follow or simply have no idea what your saying.

Yeah well after the whole Scottish independence debacle relations are a wee bit strained.

And we have the European debacle fast approaching so fun times.

Did somebody mention tea??

Mmm, I love me some French Toast in the morning.

impbf.jpg

Did somebody mention tea??

I'll have some tea with my breakfast.

Dude everyday i wakeup wanting coffee and cereal, but the two don't go together great, i hit the snooze a couple times, analysis paralysis kicks in and I wind up grabbing a protien bar and a water. Now this isn't the worst thing in the world but my morning straight up starts by me letting myself down which is just not the way to go.

Man, I wish it was that easy to get a cup of fresh orange juice with my French Toast.

I'm enjoying a lovely cup of tea right now. I'm also not going to debate politics with someone who seems to have made up their mind about me based on faulty assumptions – and particularly not on a forum about toy space boats. Especially when my original comment had nothing to do with politics. At all. In any conceivable way.

The question is do I have a bowl of muesli or a bacon sandwich...?

Edited to correct a spelling error. I had erroneously spelled "someone who seems to have made up their mind about me based on faulty assumptions" as "crazy person". Oops.

I can't believe you've all started talking breakfast without mentioning bacon. I thought bacon was this forum's equivalent to Godwin's Law ;)

I mentioned bacon!

I mentioned bacon!

I find your lack of Black Pudding disturbing...

I went for bacon, hash browns, beans, sausage and scrambled eggs. Yum. I feel full and happy now.

Good ham > bacon.

Yeah, I said it. COME AT ME, THE INTERNET!
