Dear FFG RE: Adversary Decks

By drbraininajar, in Star Wars: Edge of the Empire RPG

Adversary Decks we need:

-Beasts of the Galaxy

-Force Users (possibly including some stackable Inquisitor ability cards)

Those are the two I can think of right off the bat. Can we think of any others? Hopefully if there's enough of a foofaraw, FFG will see some merit in either making them or expediting production on similar ones in the pipeline.

Both good ideas. You should email customer service the suggestion.

Also, we need some Starfighter adversaries!

MOAR DROIDS!

Also second to the beast deck! I use banthas so often it's easier if I have the stats on a card, than in a book, and printing the stat block isn't much better for such frequently used elements.

I didn't even think about droids. If I remember correctly, most of the ones specifically listed in the various "Adversaries" chapters are covered by the current decks, but it couldn't hurt to have one statting out the "purchasable" droids scattered throughout the sourcebooks.

Bonus option for the hypothetical Beast Deck should be a reference card detailing the rules for treating a beast as a vehicle.

All of the adversaries not available in the cards should be

We need a deck for the Knights of Ren

Personally, I find the adversary decks very useful and the specialization decks next to useless. So, just about any new Adversary deck would make me happy. Beasts, force users, and droids would be excellent starting decks for that. A quick-reference deck for starships would also be cool.

Braille!!!

On the one hand, these kinds of cards are meant mostly for GMs. Does FFG produce any books or other resources in Braille?

On the other hand, if FFG doesn’t produce much in the way of Braille materials, then I think they should. Even though the players mostly wouldn’t need these cards.

There are the cards done by Salith. I think he’s covered all known Adversaries from all known sources, with the possible exception of a couple of more recent books.

Okay, so his cards aren’t as nice as the ones from FFG, but they are still functional!

Nothing, afaik. I was going to try GM'ing. I was writing stuff in Braille and tested some things with my lab rat (aka brother). I know there is a blind GM with an entire group of players with visually impaired players who browses this forum, though.

We're out there!

There are readers that can be applied to printed text, but I don’t know how well those would work with gaming materials and the amount of creativity that goes on with putting text over graphics, etc….

And even if they did work mostly okay with the rulebooks, I doubt they’d do very much with small cards. ;(
