Here's the Shut Up and Sit Down review too:
Offtopic would be the place for this mate.
Can't wait to pick it up and try it one sunday afternoon with a friend I used to play Axis And Allies a lot, when we started boardgaming. We would just play one on one and discuss what we thought should be the best move from each nation, explaining and analysing each other tactics.... good times!
The cat and mouse part of this game is really interesting and thematic, I'll really feel like Vader or Tarkin while yelling ''Where is your Rebel Base!'' to my opponent once in a while. But that's okay, we'll find it eventually, because we placed a homing beacon on their ship, they should lead us right to their base, right? I hope you know what you're doing Lord Vader....
But it's still at the printer...

If anyone would be sent an advanced review copy, Tom Vasel would. I believe Shut Up and Sit Down played a preview while at Worlds.
Watched the review and again my only real concern is how will this play with 3-4 players?
Didn't listen to the podcast. Did they happen to mention how it plays with more than 2?
I'll get it regardless, but our boardgame nights we usually have 4 players so it be nice if everyone can enjoy it, and that means it'll see the table a lot if they do.
It's not to often there are only two players on boardgame nights. The odd time it happens and we play xwing or armada lol
Honestly its a 2 player game. I guess you can do teams but not sure that really is going to be much fun. Empire did have various factions though.

I'll end up playing it with my wife..... and I'm fine with that
For four players it is a team one person controls the ground forces and ground leaders and the other controls the space forces and space leaders. And considering Angryjoe got an early copy I hope the game is past being at the factory and they just haven't updated it yet.

I can live with that.
Man I wish you were right about it not being updated
Won't hold my breath
I wonder if the X-wing Y-wing and TIE Fighters are the same model as the Star Wars Armada?
I wonder if the X-wing Y-wing and TIE Fighters are the same model as the Star Wars Armada?
The TIEs aren't they have struts on both sides of their wings, the X-wing and Y-wings might be though minus the little peg that they need to be attached to the squadron base.

But given the fact that the TIEs are different, I doubt it.

Angryjoe got a copy? Does he have a video up?

Shut up and sit down or something like that has a review
Sounds really good though their comment on the 4 player side had me a little worried though they didn't go into any detail.
But from what I've heard should still be fun with 4 players
I watched the Dice Tower review of it, and that made it a definite for me.

Here is the link to it, I found it a little painful to watch at times especially the end in regards to the Rebels base but I think it is the only full play through up online that I know of.
And a Dice Tower playthrough:
Honestly, after watching that playthrough, I'm left kinda cold. I don't think Tom played particularly well, but it really seemed like it was all up to chance. Does the empire find the base in time, if they do, does the rebel player get a good draw for the second base so that the empire can't get to the new one in time.
Maybe what the actual cards do will change that impression. Still really excited to try it.
I haven't had time yet to watch it fully, but it might also be case of not being a good game to watch, maybe?
I'm also still excited to try it.
Btw, next week the Secret Cabal podcast has an episode fully dedicated to Star Wars.
