BroCakes. It's like pancakes full of Bro power

After playing a little bit of Vrill in my Vrill's StressHOrs build, I got to thinking. (My 2nd YT2400 is on its way)

YT-2400 - Dash Rendar

  • Push the limit
  • Heavy Laser Cannon
  • Engine Upgrade
  • Kyle Katarn (Soon to be Kanan Jarrus)
  • Outrider

YT -2400 Eadon Vrill

  • Heavy Laser Cannon
  • Recon Specialist

Pros = 2 HLC's and the usual Dash shenanigans

Cons = no high PS end game.

Vrill is in there blocking if he has to, and can do alright up close. Can setup shots for Dash, and hopefully cove his donut.

There's probably not a lot of wriggle room on cards, but any thoughts would be appreciated.

I would also appreciate any tips on how to fly it effectively.

Cheers.

Just a thought, what about Intel Agent and Antipursuit Lasers instead of the RecSpec? RecSpec is essentially a defensive upgrade on a ship that you'd rather be shot first. So your anti-ace play is to read a dial, block with your Barrel Roll, maybe damage with APL, then hammer with Dash's HLC. That should make anyone looking to get in the donut pretty wary.

I would suggest if you are just using vrill to block, you can downgrade to the generic, free up some points since the build doesn't generate any stress for vrill's ability

I think Vrill is still a worthwhile upgrade because PS3 let's him shoot before the mass of PS2 that's out there, and his ability doesn't have to be used all the time to be good. Besides, it's a Dash list, you're taking the three biggest Debris fields anyway, so you'll probably get some stress on people that way.

Vrill + ptl soontir = 4 dice range 1, might actually hurt him :o

Vrill's surprisingly decent against everything since even jousters have to K, except Vader (whom he can block to neuter) and TLTs (against which he fires before the fringer would)

That is quite a valid suggestion. I'm not sure it beats extra focus tokens to use for attack and defense. HLC is decidedly better when you modify it. That said, if blocking becomes more important than shooting...

I concur. Good tip RE debris too. I usually take the small ones.
