Crack Shot vs. Juke

Seems like it'd be good on Vader if you're willing to drop VI. Once you drop a TL on something you end up focus evading a lot.

Juke and IG-88C.

Green Squadrons with PTL, Juke, and Hull Upgrade are 25 points. Fly 4 of them, or 3 of them with autothrusters instead and a PS 4 TLT Stresshog.

I think you're onto something with IG88C, though... maybe with Adv Sensors.

Are people forgetting Defender's can't evade? - Therefore cannot use Juke.

I know the title gives them an evade on 3, 4 or 5 move but once in combat a lot of fighting is done at speeds 1 and 2. I only see it viable for the first pass or maybe towards the end of the game unless you are constantly doing 4K's.

I've never used VI on Vader and never missed it. I'd be hard pressed to give up Predator though... Generally I'd drop points somewhere else to make Predator fit.

Alas, FFG saw you both coming. Juke has a rather unfortunate Small ship only printed on its top line.

Else you better believe every BroBot on the face of the earth would be running it by now.

It's very easy to do speed 3+ when those are its only full set of white/green maneuvers

They have Barrel Roll so the 3-speed limitation isn't too important, you can get a lot of tight turning out of a 3-turn then a barrel roll as far back as possible, especially when doing the 3-turn gives you both defensive and offensive mods.

I've run Jax, OL (comm/ Juke) and 2 Omegas with Crack/Weapons Guidance or those same 2 Omegas with Juke/Comms and it's been 6 of one 1/2 dozen of the other. I do equally as well with both builds, but the 3 ship Juke/Comm build leads to more drawn out games as I can usually burst a ship down in the opening joust with the Crack Shot build. Plus I can have a tankier Jax with the Crack build.

Defender's are designed for strike and dash tactics. Not likely to spend more than two turns in range at a time, and the best Defender pilots will only be in range once before they spend a turn to reposition. Or they'll have positioned themselves so that their 4-K Turn cannot be blocked, which also yields that glorious evade token.

A turn followed by an inside barrel roll is about the same as a Turn. However, I think you'll get more mileage out of Juke of you can also focus. Of course, this isn't an issue for Colonel Vessery.

Whenever you fly Defenders, you have pretty much 5 options every turn. 1 bank, 3 hard, or 4 K-Turn.

So 90% of the time it's a 3+ speed. It's actually good that slower maneuvers don't give you evades, makes them more of a surprise when you do them.

I notice Imperials are getting most of the attention (not entirely surprisingly) so how about this for the rebel side. Red Ace, R2-D6, Juke, Comms Relay and IA? 35 points but your opponent really will not want to shoot at him.

Anything with Lando could have fun with this as well. Too bad no K-wings have EPTs or that could really leave a mark.
