New guy here, looking for some sweet stories as I'm just getting into this game.
1) What the biggest point match you've ever had and what was it like?
2) What is the most amount of ships you've fielded and what was it like?

1. Team Epic game - 2 teams, 2 players per team, 200 points per player - it was AWESOME!
2.. About 16 ships in a 300 point small ship only Epic game - great fun, if a little laborious moving all those ships around and remembering all the upgrades
Also played a team game, though it was not epic and there were no epic ships. 400 pts.
Since Epic Ships weren't used to sink points into, there were a pretty fair number of ships fielded. Was good times. I think that I personally had 8 ships on the table on my teammate had 9. Good times.
Played a 400 point epic, tantive vs raider match. I ran the raider to about 150, and ran everything else at the lowest generic. So I had 2 each of FO, TIES, defenders, and 3 interceptors, all moving in a solid checker formation supported by that one shuttle that passes out target locks for the raider, and chiraneu running the other flank of the raider.
It was amazing.
I've also flown Gemmer straight into the maw of an 8 tie swarm and echo, and came out without a scratch.
I played a 500 point epic game once. Rebels VS. Imperials. It was just enough points for me (Rebel) to field a fully loaded CR-90 and Transport plus around 300 points worth of fighter sized ships. It was glorious.
Flew a 3 team game.
3 Imp players; 450 points total
3 Rebel players; 450 points total
2 Scum players; 300 points total
It was a disaster. We played on a 3'x9' field with Imperial and Rebel forces on opposite ends staring at each other 9 feet away. The scum came in on a dice roll and ended up right in the rebel mix. I was on the imperial team and merely moved ships every 30 minutes for about three hours before finally being in range to shoot. One (maybe two) rounds of combat with the imperials in the mix and we called the game. Everyone was tired and we started at 7ish so it was getting late. More points sounds more epic, but you have to be careful about planning it, because it can get out of hand very quickly.
Edit: clarification
Edited by ZabuzauzTeam Epic with 5 players total, 600 pts per side!
With action everywhere on the table, so much to take into account, nowhere to run. I had a blast! It was... Epic!

So you think it was because everyone started so far away, or was it because there were 3 factions going at it?

You should have played on a 3x6 table and each side starting one the longest side, so you are ony 3 feet away from each other. Definetly speed up the time needed before going into action and leave more room to maneuver on the flank, etc.

I think it had everything to do with being on a 3'x9' play area. It took way to long for everyone to get involved. It takes a while for even TIEs doing 5 straights to go 6 feet.
If you have 3 factions fighting, wouldn't the guy in the middle starting point just get hammered? How could you avoid that?

What we did (which I think was a good idea) was to have scum slightly less powerful than the two main teams. After the first round or two, the scum would roll a die to end up coming in on a random board edge (each of the scum players rolled and showed up on different board edges). This introduced chaos to the fight, which was really fun.It stops anyone from getting too effectively pincered.

Ooooo..... and as someone who likes theme, that sounds awesome. Big fight, and then the scumbags show up to acquire some ill-gotten goods and quickly absquatulate.

I've done plenty of triple threat 100pt games (also the largest I've ever personally played in, though I'm itching to try Epic sometime).
The key was to make sure no one is in the "middle". It's a little more restrictive on placement, but you can space everyone out in a more or less equal triangle to prevent one poor guy from just getting sandwiched from both directions.
They're pretty solid fun, even if one of the guys I usually play these with has a bad habit of splitting his forces and trying to fight the other two at the same time. Pro tip: Night Beast doesn't fair well alone against three A-Wings all loaded with Prockets.
I played a 23-ship game (everything I own). I think the point total was somewhere around 200-250 points. Playing surface was 3' x 6'.
600/600 with narrative overarcs to capture a disabled GR75.
4-100 point players per faction. This was just after Wave 4 hit and I was using a GR-75. Sadly the TIE/ln swarm ate us alive, even with Lt. Blount using an assault missile, but it was a hilarious game. :3c
This was an epic tournament that went wrong. My help misjudged the store and only one table was available, so we played anyways.
8 people, four per side, on a 4x8 table. I think it was 150 points per player. No huge ships. There were sooo many small ships, the ship cards spanned the entire 8 foot lengths. All in one big fight.
best game ever.
4 player game, 2 teams, 200 points per person. One guy flew the tantive and one flew the destroyer. Another guys literally flew as many b wings and a wings as possible (don't remember). I flew four firesprays as loaded as I could get them

Who won?!?!
We had an Epic game prior to Imperial huges with I believe about 800 pts per side, and about 6 people per side! But we broke it down to one large table with huges and about six small tables of 100pts per side. The small tables played until until one side lost x pts and we moved to the large table as reinforcements at that time.
My son and I recently played a 425 vs 423 pt Epic game, pic below! We have lists ready for a 750 vs 750pt game next!
Played a 350 team game a few nights ago, it felt like a great amount. Still a meaningful point restriction, to make your list decisions tricky, but enough points to make it feel really badass. Recommended.
Two 200 point rebel fleets vs. four 100 point imperial fleets. I was the imperial's right flank with 5 Academy Pilots and an HLC+Procket defender. Managed to basically eliminate a corvette by myself (Well, my force+Howlrunner) before we called time (The other Imperial Players focused on the central dogfight and a transport).
