The occasional Y-Wing notwithstanding, a lot of the art used in X-Wing and Armada cards are good. REAL good. Is any of it available in a larger format, perhaps suitable for desktop wallpapers?
Larger card art?
There's a joke in here somewhere about tobacco products and over-sized warning labels...

Haven't seen it for computers, but I've seen prints of some of the art on sale at conventions.
Thanks, zerotc, that's exactly what I was hoping for!
...any chance someone has Ruthlessness laying around somewhere? ![]()
Unfortunately, I've only been able to pull what's available on FFG's showcase pages.
I really like this new one from Star Wars: Rebellion!

Trooper with the heavy is the best.
He's all like...
Well, you know what he's sayin'...

I know a couple of the artists are on DeviantArt and they release their artwork there as well.

I find your ideas intriguing and wish to know more.
I'm at work so will NOT be providing links just yet. My luck I'll bounce off something that'll land my in hot water and that'll end my x-wing days real quick. That said, I'll flip a link when I get home tonight unless somebody beats me to it. Contrary to the site name and occasional twisted stuff, there are a lot of professionals releasing their artwork there.
The two I'd get are the Soontir Fel alternate art (looks like a recruiting poster for the Empire) and Sabine Wren's Attack Shuttle (love the Rebel Phoenix being formed in the shuttle's jet wash).

I'm in government work, and know full well the dangers of browsing from machines that aren't 'secure'. Take all the time you need. ![]()

That worked, thank you very much!
By the way, this
It has been driving me mad for years that Star Destroyers were constantly assumed to have front-focused firepower, yet the only visible guns were on the broadside. I was THIS close to throwing out my Armada cards and creating proper side-focused ones!
Now I can sleep at night with the comforting thought that while it may have heavy side batteries for planetary bombardment, the anti-ship guns are scattered across the hull in single mounts, to take advantage of the wedge shape.

Picture looks to me like Craig Mullins art (goodbrush.com))
This pictures are AWESOME!
Sorry for the near gravedig, but I stumbled across this gallery and it has a lot of card art from a variety of games, including a lot of X-wing cards.
