WAIT.
What if you did just that. Roark with TLT, with a bunch of Bs with Tractor beam.
Dodge most of them? Get sucked back in.

OP - Yes Its going to rain tears of Joy. End thread.
I think the tractor beam will be the final nail in Han's coffin. Having 0 agility removes the use of C3PO (except for the actual use of the tractor beam, fluff win) and he goes down really quickly. Suddenly ships that could barely scratch him are now pouring damage, he's gone quicker than a Decimator.
Against high-agility targets (up to 3 let's say), it's a toss-up. Some turns it will succeed, in others it will fail. More importantly (and as others have mentioned), the threat will be there. And with that threat, the need to spend defense tokens to make sure it doesn't go through. For the Defender vs. high-agility, it will be another shot when they cannot afford to get hit.
I've played against a souped-up Jake with Vessery, and the tractor beam would always make the opponent use defense tokens. There was never a threat of moving him on an asteroid (good flying I guess), but the finishing move was when a tractor beam hit and I was able to barrel roll Jake into range 2. We always think of good barrel rolls, the ones that make Soontir untouchable, but the are always opportunities for bad barrel rolls, where suddenly you're in range 1 of the enemy ships and in arc.
A skilled Falcon player will almost never be in sight of the Tractor Beam, and if he is, he will not be in sight if it AND an entire formation.
Note: I say this knowing that I am NOT the skilled falcon player that I'm taking about here.
I feel like, even though all 8s, this list shall see great potential:
"Omega Leader" (21)
Juke (2)
Comm Relay (3)
Rexler Brath (37)
Juke (2)
TIE/x7 (-2)
Colonel Vessery (35)
Veteran Instincts (1)
Tractor Beam (1)
TIE/D (0)
Total: 100

Edited by Hujoe Bigswell i haven't got much time the last 2 days to read everything but i just started this thread to get a healthy discussion going. To make it clear, i'm also excited about it and looking forward to play with it a little more. i just wanted to share my concernes though i know a sample of 2 games ist not representative. And still it seems that i'm not the only one thinking of it the way i described in the OP. At least the ones that played with it already seem to understand.

So, Han just switches to Chewie/Artoo. I think people are so addicted to Threepio, that they forget that the Falcon was playable before Threepio came out.
Hopefully, they'll drop han and switch to the ghost
Tbeam immune; make for overall more enjoyable games
Also, defenders won't like phantom-levels of dice coming at them without an x7 buffer

Depends on how much they can enjoy the trolling of Chopper. Ioned and Stressed if you bump him is going to cause a lot of issues.
Who doesn't love that adorable, psychopathic little droid
?
Besides, he's a pilot that will test your flying and your opponent's rather than just your dice. IMO, there is nothing more fun than that in this tactical space combat game of ours
The only potentially annoying ghost is Kanan. With his ability + r2d2, he could be almost immortal in the late game. You can't even Omega L through that

Cluster Missiles for the win. Also, more generally, multiple shots. He can only hold so much focus. Plus, if you're using him for that you're not using his focus offensively which is great, nor are you using him as crew, so I count that as a super-win.

When you can take FCS, I think you will be fine.
Wait... Fat Han bad, but Fat Ghost okay?
Hmmmm....

The unskilled ones will, however.
The Falcon then becomes a ship that pays off for the people who know it inside out but is a shortcut to scrap city for anyone who tries to win on list rather than flying.

Same reason fat brobots are okay
Now back to tractor beams!
Unless it's fat ghost is okay v tbeams because 0 agi while fat han loses the vaunted c3po due to 0 agility
Note I don't really know if fat ghost will be a thing. Even with tbeam immunity, staring down a vessery that can arcdodge you is kinda scary. The baby phantom is also pretty terrified of the things
Meanwhile, ainimal ghost ala chopper + Hera + Ezra just doesn't care and may even make Vess jealous with back to back 5ks
I could see it becoming a one in each list kind of thing. Playing with this for a bit.

A Ghost with docked Phantom can be arc dodged, but it is a small, strangely shaped area where enemies are safe from attack (assuming the Ghost has TLT), and the Defender isn't known for its great maneuverability. The titles don't change that, really.
BUT, Vessery will likely lay into the Ghost with focused and Locked attacks, which will hurt, especially at R1.
Thing with TLT ghost is that avoiding the arc is HUGE
Tlt is fine and all, but you get the same offense from a 24/26 point Y. That phantomesque arc + special arc? Well, you only find that on the phantom.
(Sure you get 3 tlts with ghost/phantom, but that's ghastily inefficient. If your opponent is constantly forcing that, the game probably won't go well for ghostie)
Course if you can tlt and not get shot it's obviously in the ghost's favor, but at its corpulent point cost it's not terribly game breaking. You'll need really good flying to abuse it, esp with that dial and pilot skill

I agree with literally exciting you just said.
I'm excited for Ruthless Vess. Remember, you get to move your opponent. You can control the range and avoid hitting your own ships OR move the ship closer to an enemy ship. Two unavoidable splash damage to Soonts or Vader or Corran because you had another ship in arc is pretty harsh. Pair him up with a pair of crackshot FOs and a bomber pal to pass any unavoidable ruthlessness off to and I think it'll have game since you can pump out 6 damage from Vess a turn.

Put a tie shuttle with fleet officer down and give them x7 title they have interceptor defence without the PTL stress.
Do it with rex and vessery with /D you've got two focus and a TL each piling on the damage and control.
Defenders ain't going to sweat much.

The Ghost isn't likely to have TLT, though. The Range 3 bands on the side will interesting to get into. Especially since I see the Ghost playing like a rhino, just getting into the middle of everything.

Telling the truth Autoblaster turret comes to my mind.
After all arcdodgers excell in close quarters knifefights, where the arcs are smaller and easier to dodge, and their barrel+boost combo allows them to get into flanks
and suddenly there's a wild buffalo running around with 4-5 attack primary and a NO PASSARAN zone around it.
Autoblaster ghost is a wonderful world of possibilities
Fortunately, defenders have six health
Can't say defender is exactly the kind of enemy the autoblaster is supposed to work against xD
In direct dice exchange defenders will most likely still win because no matter how great 4 dice primary may sound, it's still a 0-green-dice brick of HP
But ghost is surely one of the two ships that give 0 f#....scyks about Tractor beams. they are already 0 evade ships.
Falcons and Dashes on the other hand will feel the wrath of Colonel!
