Do Byes Stack?

By shadowswalker, in X-Wing

This will be my first time attending store championships and I am planning on hitting up a handful of them that are near me. The Xwing community around me is rather small. If I end up taking first in more than one, would I be able to use more than one round skip ticket at the same regionals?

No. You may only use one bye per regional tournament.

No. If you win a second one it goes to second place. I won two last year for both Star Wars LCG store championships in Halifax. At the second one I gave my bye card and the plaque to second place who also happened to be my best friend.

Is this true? What if you're planning on attending multiple regionals?

Not saying I would personally as I'm only attending 1, but curious if you HAVE to give it up if you win multiple.

yes it said exactly that in the package with the store championship.

"If the Champion already possesses a card, award the card to the next highest player without a card."

Makes most sense

Can't have 1 player take them all, then come regional he the only one with a bye

The bye is overrated now that it's 150 MoV. I know, a win is a win, but I'd rather get my feet wet the first round than sit around waiting. It was an awful experience at Nationals that I still can't get over. Waiting 6 hours to play my first game was frustrating.

Wasn't so bad for us. We learned to play Love Letter Batman while we waited for the first round to finish. But the LCG rounds are only 65 minutes. And the event was in a Board Game Cafe

Yea I guess it was a corner case since the software crashed and there was about 4 hours between rounds 1 and 2. That probably won't happen at the regional level.

Plus common courtesy

If you already have one bye, don't be a ****** and hog them all. Lol
