Hi, I'm relatively new to the game, tried the game out a year and a half ago, and just never got around to picking up my own core and expansions until Force Awakens re-sparked my interest. After playing a bit, and collecting a few expansions, I have fallen in love with the Tie Interceptors, especially the higher PS ones, and also have a ton of fun with Darth Vader. I have thrown together this list, noncompetitive for now, but didn't know if there was a way to improve upon it:

I threw an Engine Upgrade on Vader so that he can pull off similar response movements that his Interceptors can (Boost + Barrel Roll), or to get close enough to set up a target lock (Boost + Target Lock).

I will leave Predator to put a Stealth Device on Fel.

What? Vader is plenty more dangerous than fel. ATC gives Vader better damage output than Fel, even if you equip Fel with a target comp. Fel however is generally harder to kill, but Vader deals more damage overall, especially with lone wolf/predator (don't underestimate the power of the critside!)

So I should drop Predator on Vader to improve Fel's temporary Agility by 1, or keep Predator to maintain Vader's deadliness?

Personally, I'm not a fan of stealth device on Soontir since he always dies from getting blocked, double stressed or vadered, and the stealth does **** to help him in any of those cases. However, all the kids love Stealth these days because of the immunity to getting shot a ton (which is true, you can't really kill SD soontir if he has a bunch of tokens barring the most crazy dice results).

So my suggestion would be to leave the list as is and practice more. I feel Vader really gets a lot out of predator/lone wolf but YMMV and all. If you are really struggling with keeping Fel alive and you think Stealth will help, then you can make a change. But look carefully at what is killing Soontir-----if he is dying due to lack of tokens, then stealth is not really going to change that issue and it may be that you would be better off dropping him entirely for a different ship/pilot.

I prefer Vader w/ VI. It makes him a consistent answer to Poe, and I find that the auto-crit is enough for consistent damage.

Twice I've been able to one-shot Poe w/ Vader (extremely lucky, obviously).

I'm on the fence with SD on Soontir, though I currently always bring it. With the meta shifting slightly, the biggest fear for Soontir is token-stripping TLTs or a Deci w/ Vader.

SD goes a long way to mitigating the TLT concern, but does jack against Vader crew.

Without Palpy as back up, I tend to default to SD on Soontir, or try and sneak someone else in the list.
