Rebel Toolbox

When looking at a lot of the 4 ship rebel builds they tend to be a toolbox style with each ship having a specific purpose in the squad. This idea is what I've built this list around, four ships that all serve a specific purpose in the squad.

Poe Dameron - VI - R2D2 - Autothrusters

Role: Ace Hunter, End game closer

Bandit Squadron Pilot

Role: Blocker, General nuisance

Tarn Mison - R7 Astromech - Integrated Astromech

Role: Consistent Damage, Backup end game closer

Gold Squadron Pilot - Ion Cannon Turret - R3-A2

Role: Control

Run these ships in a loose formation with Poe flanking but not too far away that he cannot support his squad mates or receive backup in a hurry. Poe is your Ace hunter and the guy you want to try to keep alive till the end because as we all know Poe one on one is a nightmare for the opponent. If Poe does get taken out quick you do have a backup closer in Tarn and his R7 shenanigans. Tarn also provides you a consistent 3 dice attack and is tough to kill. The Bandit is your basic 12 point blocker. Throw him into opposing lanes and just try to make pileups and strip actions. The Y-wing is your control ship but it allows you to ion and stress a ship. This effectively takes them out for two turns because they have to do a white 1 straight to clear ion and then a green maneuver. Allowing you to either focus them down in those two turns or just ignore them and get back to them after killing the ioned ships friends.
