[Insert Faction Here] - MORE of this, Please.

By Farseerixirvost, in X-Wing Squad Lists

This is just a personal request for folks to PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE use some kind of faction qualifier term in their Squad List thread titles so we know what's inside. It would certainly help everyone figure out if they have anything to offer/add to the discussion - or even glean/learn something from a person's list idea(s).

Things like "Please Help!" and "How About This List" and "What Do You Think?" and "First Tournament List" just doesn't tell anyone ANYTHING.

Things like "[s&V] 4-Ship Build" or "Rate My Imperial List" or even a ship/pilot name like "T-70 Mini Swarm" go so very far in getting the right peoples' attentions.

Pretty Please? With Sugar On Top?

So your saying not to post ambiguous thread titles..

[s&V] 4 T-70 Mini-Swarm

Duly noted. Good one. I guess my title was pretty clear to me. But I see the error in my ways. I am just a padawan after all... ;)

OK, sure, but I'm more familiar with ships than factions. "[imperial] Help Plz" could be anything from a twin Defender list to an all-named TIE Swarm.

True, but at least it helps a little. I've never flown a Rebel squad. So if the title said "[Rebel] Help Plz" I at least know I canNOT help that person out.

I think 99% of the posts on page 1 meet this requirement, but thanks for the psa...

These don't go far enough. Most lists can displayed entirely in the topic title. Instead of T-70 Mini-swarm, the thread should be titled 4x Blue Squadron Novice, 4x R2, 4x Integrated Astromech.

This way I actually know what the hell the list is instead of a topic title that tells me pretty much nothing. T-70 mini-swarm tells me little.

I swear to god 19/20 thread titles in the squad list forum are ambigious **** and it's why no one goes here. "scum list", "tournament list", " *insert stupid custom name for squad here* ". Then you have ones that have just one pilot in them, like "psycho tycho list". WOW DUDE, YOUR LIST HAS A PILOT IN IT, HOW DESCRIPTIVE.

Right now there are like 2-3 bearable topic titles on the firont page of the squad list forum. One of them says, "Four Starvipers" and that makes sense, you can only fly 4 of them at 25 points each. The one that says, "Poe, Corran, Bandit" is alright too, typically after you load those two aces up to their game ruining power combo amount of points, you only really have enough points for a Z.

But eveything else for the most part? Bunch of topics I just assume are trash because the title is and when 19/20 topic titles are like this I don't want to click on any of them. Why even create a title at all, just slam your fist down on the keyboard or peck a single underscore into the topic title line and there you go. Will tell me the exact same amount of info as, "scum list" will.

Where can we petition FFG about this? ******* tired of this wasteland of a subforum just because no one is actually willing to type more than 2 words into the topic line. Last few build ideas I've had I've just put into the main forum so that way they'll actually get responses, because I know I don't come to the Squad List forum very often.
