I'm more interested in knowing why there has been no mention of a RPG rulebook and game. Or games, or books.
Considering how subpar Battlefront and Aftermath were, I'm not getting my hopes up for the franchise.

Like others. Sad that I'll have to wait another few months to see it, but after The Force Awakens I have 100% faith that it's being done properly and for the right reasons. I'll be here waiting.
S'cool. Take your time, director.
You still have to make up for Looper.
Hasn't beaten Avatar yet for total box office, but with that release date I bet it takes out Avatar 2
This is true for World box office sales, but Star Wars VII had destroyed all domestic records before it even opened!
There's been a leaked image of one of the sets that has a '65 with black markings from it! It's a new alternate paint! This will mean a new Droid is likely, some pilots, some other goodies I'm sure. And it's timing might make it coincide with Rebel Veterans! The possibilities man!
do you have.... a link?
sorry, thought you meant set as in toys or somthing.
Yeah, I imagine they want to capitalize on the "proved" success of the December release for TFA.
I have no issue with this.
The fact that Rogue One and Episode 8 were going to be, like, 5 months apart struck me as odd to begin with.
This probably has next to nothing to do with the film's production timeline, and everything to do with TFA's success with a December release.
Summer 2017 has Guardians of the Galaxy 2 and Spiderman coming out for Marvel - when Star Wars has proven its ability to make money in December, why would Disney want to risk its two biggest franchises cannibalizing off each other? Especially given the demographic overlap between superhero fans and SW fans is likely pretty high.
Poor Ready Player One. I can't see it doing well against Star Wars.
Can't wait for Rouge One either. Two hours about cosmetics?!? Sign me up. Rogue One on the other hand . . . meh, I could take or leave the fantastic spaceship battles. ![]()
As far as Episode VIII . . . I don't really mind. It's good that they're willing to take their time and make a good movie. Plus, this way it comes out practically on my birthday (again -- WOOOO
).

I had not realized this. You're completely right. Poor James
James flinched lol. Avatar 2 is moving back.
He didn't flinch. Last I heard, they don't know when they will even begin shooting for Avatar 2. And that movie requires a bit more post production than Episode VIII.

Very true. ell the first one was probably MOSTLY post production
