I think this game illustrates the issue I have with Gunnery Team on Imperial ships : it forces the movement of the ship rather than taking advantage of its maneuvrability. By trying to angle (especially on a narrow front arc like the ISD) to keep multiple ships into the front arc, they're allowed to be encircled. And if most smart commanders will avoid to get 1 ship into medium range, any commander can prevent 2 ships to enter the killzone of an ISD at full power, hence losing advantage of the gunnery team). On top of that, it forces you to commit your main arc on multiple ships, and most Imperial players I've seen usually commit half way and only end up with red dice range (whoop de doo).

With red dice primarily and very large broadsides, Rebel ships take more advantage of GT (even without Ackbar) in an organic fashion because it doesn't change the flying style that the ship would naturally have.

That's just my 2 cents though
