questions about "elite field Officier" and Twin shadows new deck

By JA_42, in Imperial Assault Rules Questions

Hello, so many question in fact, about :

- Elite field Officier

- 3xp twin shadows new deck imperial advance attachment that give same capability as an elite officier

- 4xp twin shadows new deck imperial advance that give a second shot just after an executive order is resolved

SO :)

Question 1/

The 4xp card (second attack after an executive order) is for the officier OR for the target of this officier?

Mean, an elite Officier (O) use Executive Order an target a Trooper (T) that imediatly fire! The second attack if for the trooper T or Officer?

Question 2/

When I deploy my elite officier, I give the 3xp attachment, that give a second line about "executive order" capability (one from the deployement card, one from attachment). Can this officer use TWICE this capability, one per line?

THANKS and hope it's clear :)

1) Target of the Officer.

2) A figure can perform each special action only once per activation. So yes, you may use "Executive Order" twice if your elite officer has gained a second "Executive Order" ability.

Are you sure on #1? The wording of the card says the figure that resolved the Order may move or attack, not the target of the Order. The target of the Order gains the benefit, but is not the figure resolving the Order.

But the figure that resolves is the target...

and, for 4xp, just giving an opportunity for the officier is pretty poor...

someone from FFG?

Mind you, i'm not looking at the card itself, just some wikia that has the card text. The "it" part of the text makes this ambiguous. Who is the "it"? The figure who "owns" the ability, or the target of the ability?

Assuming this is the accurate text:

After a figure resolves an "Order", it may perform a move.

After a figure resolves an "Executive Order", it may perform a move or attack.

My logic is that the action owner is the "it", not the target of the action.

But again, ambiguous text.

My mistake - I was looking at the other 4xp card Optimal Tactics. with Lead By Example, the officer would get the move or attack.

definitively, can any "official" cut this "it"

and that's true, "it" sucks :)

please just avoid using "it" in game text! :)
