I think i accidentally broke the game

By ASCI Blue, in Star Wars: Force and Destiny RPG

First session with a new group last night, party is 2 Sentinels, 1 Shadow and one Artisan. Guardian armorer, and Seeker pathfinder. GM runs us to Tatooine to deal with greedy Hutts using Sand People to destroy/steal water whatchamacallits (straight outta KoToR yo!). With several good deception rolls I land an audience with Cupcake (yes we used a baked good for a Hutt and there are pix so it did happen) in addition to offering a Republic cruiser plus soldier compliment. I proceeded to roll yet another deception check to draw a contract for him to turn over his palace. Yes it was a hard roll, I have a 4 cunning and one rank in deception, it netted me 2 successes and an advantage when the dice settled.

In addition to this we met a dark side adept, had some good stealth rolls, and much hilarity. All of this can viably lead into the campaign idea I had which takes place during Order 66, my gf surprised me last night by running the game for me.

So you beat a 5 red dices difficulty with that starting dice pool? Impressive.

It was a daunting roll, 4 purple. I'm trying to remember if 1 red was swapped for 1 purple.

Oh man, dust off those Obligation rules for when that Hutt finally figures it out!

Sounds like a great game. The deception of the Hutt sounds a little easy, but you all were laughing so no harm done. Chalk it up to Cupcake being young, which just makes his anger so much worse when he realises.

oh ok. It wasn't a real Hutt crimelord. Less impressive. Still you would get a lot of trouble when he realize the deception :D

Sounds like the GM needs some practice running the game, and to learn what opposed roles are. What will he do when you're rocking four yellow deception dice, sign over the Empire and send Palpatine to a retirement home? :)

Where are Hutt crime lord stats? I saw the freebie with teebo but if memory serves there wasn't a box with stats in it. I say the offering of a republic cruiser plus compliment of soldiers softened Cupcake up a bit..... .....maybe, :P

At the back of the EotE core book, a Hutt would have 5 reds to resist Deception.

Your game sounds fun for a one-off, but you're kind of boxing yourself in if any character fresh out of chargen can swindle a Hutt out of his palace. Where do you go from there?

Also, Deception is not a replacement for the Force Influence power...

Plenty of places to go, I'll have to look up the stats in Edge I have it somewhere.

My dice rolls are normally terrible, FFG games have dice that agree with me.
