Future XWingers...i.e. how many kids do you have?

By Plainsman, in X-Wing

XWingers that are parents, what do you have for children?

I have a 16 y.o. son that luckily likes to play XWing and historical wargames with me!

I also have two pugs and a Shih Tzu that are like three more toddlers! LOL! Oh to have a "real" dog to take hunting!

Two furbabies

Four kids, fifth one on the way.

Older 2 like playing x wing (7 and 10 years old) ....

But busy house, so definitely not much time for dad to go out and play nerdy games with men.

None yet I'll plan for them after I finish my xwing collection :)

Zero... Just the right amount...

Just one, and likely to stay that way. But at two he's already a Star Wars fan, so I've got that going for me.

I have a 24 year old daughter, a 2 year old daughter and a 5 month old son. My oldest was originally my step-daughter but when I got divorced my crazy ex-wife left her with me and moved cross-country so I adopted her and was a single dad from when she was 13-18. We did a lot of gaming during those years (which was awesome for bonding) but as she's out of state, that time is limited.

Can't wait for The Next Generation to be of game-playing-age :)

None that I'm aware of.

However I do try to introduce the game to the people with kids that I meet.

Just two 5 year old boy and daughter just turned 1 on the 14th

Hoping to get the oldest into our soon.

He likes to roll my dice, and if I lose its his fault, but actually he rolls better than I do lol

So far he enjoys playing games like life, operation, and the vintage escape from the death star boardgame.

Hoping he'll like this when he gets just a little older

3 kids. They all play X-Wing to some degree.

The Girl (owner of the original Monarch Star Viper) has played about as long as I and started her Tourny life last year at age 10. She even won a match at Regionals against a Boba-Kath list. Now 11, she recently placed 16th at a Store Championship and garnered a standing ovation for the way she has matured in the hobby. (She also plays Armada with me)

The boy is 8 and has played at home and a few times at the FLGS. He starts in our league this week and I've let him play in a few Tournys that were close to home. I still think he is a bit young, but as long as he maintains the grades and has good sportsmanship...but the evil eye of Darth Daddy is always watching.

My baby Girl is 5 and she likes to play quasi X-Wing on the floor...we each get a ship and we fly around and pew pew each other rolling dice and goofing off for about 20 minutes before I declare my ship has died. Whereupon she runs to mommy and proudly proclaims her victory.

She Who Must Be Obeyed likes Star Wars in general and is OK with board games. I keep threatening her with teaching her the game and she just calls me a dork. But she is super supportive of our little family game.

I am a lucky man that my children share a common love and passion and we can spend good time together enjoying this time.

2 girls and unlikely to have any future gamers in the family.

As of now, pretty much the same here. Hopefully in the future things will be different.

I have one daughter, she is two years and two months old. She recognizes Star Wars spaceships, and likes to run with me through the room with lego models of them. It will be a few years before she might be interested in minis.

Boy 7, and girl 9 both of which play X-wing. The boy started last year, plays historical games too and is the youngest paid up member of my wargames club. He'll happily play X-Wing for six hours plus. He now writes his own squad builds, loving the synergy of pilots, and wins perhaps 75% of the time. Girl less bothered about playing but proper Star Wars geek.

This is a trick question.

How would anyone that visits an internet message board for a Star Wars miniatures game ever procreate?

By the power of the Force, of course ;) It surrounds us and binds us! Sometimes it even bounds us so much that it's enough to create another small Star Wars fan ;)

To prove that I also admit that I've got one on the way - planned birth date in May (not May the 4th though ;)).

1 daughter, 21months old. I have to wait so long before I can play X-wing with her. :(

Zero, but I have an army of clones.

2 girls, 6 and 1 years old. Oldest want to be Kylo Ren for an upcomming Danish holiday very similar to Halloween. So I guess am doing something right/wrong?

One daughter, I've already achieved some success at indoctrinating...I mean introducing her to the wonderful Star Wars universe.

3 kids of which my eldest turns 11 on Friday! She's a star wars fan and has played a few games and she enjoys it as does my eldest son who's 9! But my youngest son is the one that has got the star wars bug the most! He's only 3 but his whole life revolves around Star Wars, he watches the films or an episode of Rebels or Clone Wars before bed! Has a 15' Darth Vader figure 5 force FX lightsabres including Kyloe Ren as well as the original 1977 Millennium Falcon toy and an 80s AT-AT from empire which we picked up for him this Christmas.

Not to mention the Hotwheels ships he's got or the Falcon playdough set.

2 1/2 and 5 months. Might be awhile.

Two girls. 3 and 8. Both Star Wars fans. Oldest has her own X-wing collection.

Two girls, 5 and 2. Both Star Wars fans- Yoda and Chewbacca are favorite characters (respectively). Whether they'll play games with Papa when they're older is up in the air, although I think (hope) it's likely.

I've got a 16 year old daughter who has no interest in games. Some of her male friends have seen the game and are very interested. There is one that really wants to play, but he lives a bit far and has no car. I invited him to game night at the store that is just down the road for him, but he doesn't have a car.

My son is 10 years old. He's more into playing with the ships than the game, but he has played a little bit. It was hard to get through a 100 pt game. I wanted to do less, but he wanted lots of ships on the table.
