New goodies for Scum?

Hi y'all.

With the releases (or pending releases) of The Inquisitor's TIE, Ghost, Tie/FO & the T-70, what new cards do they contain which you see a use for in a Scum setting?

Right off the top of my head I think of Dorsal Turrets & Guidance Chimps, the turret seems very useful for cheap HWK's and the Y-Wing could get some milage out of it as well.

The Chimps ad options to Z-95's and Kihraxshesshiks's, making missiles such as Concussion a more interesting option.

The Chimps seem to go well with Y-Wings also, coupled with Extra Munitions and Plasma or Proton Torpedoes.

What of Cool Hand or Juke, do you see any ships/pilots in Scum which would benefit from these, or the above?

I've been running proxies of most of these. Chimps are solid on anything with munitions, I've used them on scum z95s in conjunction with concussion missiles. Also tried them on a firespray where they were less impressive. The dorsal turret is usually just worse than a TLT but I've had a few good experiences with it on kavil. It basically turns him into a mini PWT putting the 'doughnut hole' on the outside. Its better for spiking damage on low AGI but worse for punching through high AGI.

Guidance Chips are nice - I'd suggest Drea Renthal might make good use of them, too. Combined with R4-B11, Extra Munitions and a Torpedo of your choice (I'd suggest Protons), you've got a nasty double-barrelled threat that should blow something up fairly easily, and - if she survives - the Dorsal Turret is easier to use on a stressed Y-wing than an autoblaster turret, and a **** sight cheaper than a Twin Laser Turret.

I took your adice to heart and flew Drea Renthal today, with the suggested upgrades, and she performed well. Yet not so well that I'm not thinking I'd get most of the same effect with a Hired Gun with the same loadout (PS4 is gold!), but swapping the R4-B11 with an Unhinged Astromech for added mobility.

Guidance Chimps were really useful (I had a Black Sun Z-95 with Concussion Missiles also) and helped the pre-roll angst you always get when you know you can't modify your Ordnance (Drea Renthals only real advantage over a Hired Gun).

I might try the same combo again versus the Empire, as I flew against a Rebel fleet without much Green Dice to begin with, so the R4-B11 never really came into play, but I can see its uses with Drea versus more agile ships.

All in all, both the Dorsal Turret and the Chimps really opened up the options on my Y-Wing, at an affordable cost. I smacked a Rebel Y with Plasma Torpedoes and a turn after was able to get out of arc of it with Drea for a R1 Focused 3-Dice Dorsal Turret attack, only to later turn and fire my last Torpedo at something else.

A good investment, but as said, I might get almost as much out of a Hired Gun, and 3-4pts. saved for something else.
