I'm Imperial, and my friend is running Verena, Loku, and Diala. After skimming through the scenario, it seems like an easy win for rebels. Any way to mkae it harder/tactics?
Spice Job up next, first side mision, tips?
Hope they win and use Chewie in the early missions to give you vast quantities of threat?
More helpfully I think it's worth throwing the Nexu in front of everyone ASAP and generally making them waste as much movement as possible getting through the difficult terrain. You goal is to run down the clock so blocking stuff will be very important; be it the doors or the spaces where rebels can interact with two spice barrels. For open groups I'd actually recommend hazard troopers so you can entirely block off the door and be as tanky as possible doing it.
We literally just played this last weekend. It's a tough one for the rebels, find the key, get everyone by one door, and then still get all six barrels open. For us, I won as the Imperial player because they had one character activation to get the last two barrels, he missed the first attempt, got the second attempt, so they were one barrell short.
we played it wrong, the imperial player misread the rules, and thought once chewie was defeated it was game over, so as you can probably figure, very short game, swarmed chewbacca.
but it is all the heroes wounded and chewie defeated, just a heads up.
Hope they win and use Chewie in the early missions to give you vast quantities of threat?
I've seen Chewie pay himself off, but not often. You're almost always better off with someone cheaper like Leia or the Rebel Troopers can be amazing in ones where actions are tight. The Smuggler is looking like it'll be great too.
We did the mission at a higher threat level and it was quite hard. I could maybe see it being easier at a lower threat level, but trandoshan hunters and elite nexu are nothing to sneeze at.
Either:
1) Randomize the tokens so even you don't know which one is the real one (and scatter them to 3 corners). Hope your lucky.
or
2) Put the key on the bottom Trandoshan and turn 1 immediately move the Elite Nexu to block the bottom hallway. It should take a round or 2 for starting heroes to kill an elite Nexu.
This will be hard. It's made harder due to Threat Level 2 and them having Chewbacca. We played at Threat Level 5, so an Elite E-Web was able to be brought out end of round 1. We were sitting ducks in the water. You'll obviously want cheap open groups. Deploy a Nexu for bleed.
We did that one early on in campaign, they got lucky finding the key first time.
Chewie has made the difference a lot, yes i get loads of threat but he's a beast
Ran this one this weekend as the Imperials and won due to forgetting to move a the Trando with the keycard. The heroes smoked the Probot and one Trando finding both distraction keys. When I had earlier activated the trandos I forgot to activate the one in the small room, so I pretty much hid him in the back of that room and leapt the Nexu to that doorway. It was well into Turn 4 that the rebels finaly killed the velociraptor with a shotgun, seized the key card, and got the door open.
By then there were plenty of wounds on the two rebels (Biv and Fenn) through the door first, and the E-Web quickly wounded them. Gideon was too far away to be of help. Loku was at the outside objectives, but couldn't make the check to open the spice rack.
If you're rebels and you're playing this one, go for broke killing the keycard holders. Protect Chewbacca. Get the doors open, and then have him tear open all the containers as he does not have to make a check to do so, and there's no only "one container per model" limitation.
