Z95 dial mystery

By Baak, in X-Wing

Hey guys,

Last night I was reorganizing my X-wing stuff and noticed I have 3 Z-95 dials with scum print. I only purchased one copy of Most Wanted. I checked some unboxing video's of MW and see only 2 dials come with the expansion. I cant reason where the third dial came from.

So...Where does the third dial come from? Am I missing something?

You leave em alone for too long and they...breed

Do you own a houndstooth?

Do you have the hounds tooth expansion? You get one in there for the Nashta pup.

Ah yes! The Houndstooth, thats it. Lol... Collection is getting too large I guess :P

Thanks guys!

There's apparently no such thing. :P

Yup. There are no collections that are too large, only homes that are too small. ^_^

Wait, the Houndstooth comes with the dial, but not the ship? What's the point? lol.

It means that you can use a Rebel Z-95 for the Pup without having to mismatch your dials. Or, if you're not in a tournament, use another ship model entirely.

Yeah, the Hound's Tooth Z-95 is a study in head-scratching.

On the one hand, they include a dial, a ship token, and a pilot card. Pretty nice.

On the other hand, they print the same ship stats on both sides of the ship token ... instead of, say, a Binayre Pirate. That would have been super considerate. I can't help thinking they would have sold a few more YV-666s if they'd done that.

Yeah another binary pirate on the ship token would have been great! There's no point in two nastah pup sides...

Whenever i want to run 3 x z-95's in casual play, Im using a bandit squadron (i know the pilot skill is higher) or the nastah pup token... But it just isnt the same.

They're just try to sell more Most Wanted sets.

I've long said they could just do without those "extra" dials they include to go with a model you already should have a perfectly good dial for. Save the cardboard and be nice and give us additional base tiles or something interesting. With the Pup they could have given us base tiles to go with every possible pilot.

It would have even been cool if they would have put Bossk on the back and included a Bossk Z-95 pilot card.

If Bossk was a 17 point PS7 Z-95 with an EPT and the same pilot ability he has in the Hound's Tooth, I figured he'd end up on the table as often in the Z as he does the YV-666.
