Does anybody have any rules they use for making the Kessel Run? I kicked off my campaign with the Trouble Brewing module in the Core Rulebook, and so far my players haven't strayed too far from Formos. It occurs to me that they may want to try to make the Kessel Run at some point. I'd like it to be an encounter of sorts, rather than simply making a roll and having a straight up failure or success. I've been toying with an idea for a series of rolls (alternating between the Piloting (space) skill and the Astrogation skill). Failing a roll would bring the ship dangerously close to a black hole, upgrading the difficulty of the next roll. The outcomes of the rolls would influence the total number of parsecs for the Kessel Run, and too many failures could be cataclysmic.
Do your players ever do the Kessel Run? If so, how do you play it out?
