It is a store championship prize for top 32. Many store Championships do not reach 32, but some do. Fortunately, there are usually multiple Store Championships in an area, so you can usually get one at a second if you don't win one the first time.

C3PO is annoying enough that you should have to buy the Tantive to get him. Now we'll see him everywhere.

He's overrated imo. Good? Yes. Better than the alternatives? Not as far as I'm concerned.

I doubt we'll be seeing him much more than usual

As an owner of the Tantive since it was released it does not bother me in the least that they have offered this card as a participation prize. They may have actually decided on this due to the complaints on here that it was wrong to have to buy a large ship for one card. I'm glad that many of you who haven't picked up the Tantive will now be able to have Threepio in your squads, but I do feel sorry for you that you haven't experienced Epic Play. I have always enjoyed Epic but the last two releases have really made the game that much better. Besides, now I have one more alt art card that I want to add to my collection.

Honestly, I'm still planning on buying the Tantive IV for the standard-compatible crew cards even after I get a promo 3P0.

... You know, I've heard a lot of people talk about that, but I haven't heard a Tantive Owner complain about the promo, to be honest.

Just a buyer-beware thing- While you can use Han Solo and Leia in non-epic games, they're really meant for Epic games. Han primarily exists to let Rebel Huge Ships change focuses to hits, while Leia's ability is strong, but you can't fit her ride and a good selection of jousters in a 100 point game. So without 3P0, it's basically just R2-D2 in there.

Enough time has gone by that this is really nice to be available this way. I can't imagine that this long into it anyone would be seriously upset by it.
