-Sensor jammer vs Markmenship

I attack, roll dice. Opponent turns a hit into a focus. Then Markmenship turns that die into a hit or crit?

-Sensor jammer vs Glitterstim

I attack, roll dice. Opponent turns a hit into a focus. Then turns Glitterstim turns that die into a hit?

Thanks

The Sensor Jammer focus result is identical to a rolled focus result, save only that it cannot be re-rolled.

Marksmanship: One of the focus results will be a crit.

Glitterstim: All of your focus will be hit.

To number one yes the focus can be then made s crit. And also yes to number two.

The dice portion of an attack always followed these steps:

1. Attacker rolls dice,

2. Defender gets to use any of their abilities to modify them,

3. Attacker finishes by applying any of their modifiers. At this point the roll is locked in.

4. Defender rolls their dice,

5. Attacker gets to use any abilities they have to modify them,

6. Defender finished applying any modifiers. And the roll ends this step locked in.

Then compare results

It's rather eloquent in a way, both sides have final say essentially in what their own dice end as. The jammer in question is designed to challenge your opponent to have a response ready or they suffer. Anything from a focus token to glitter. But not rerolls!

This procedure is also very important to follow in order as the attacker has to make his modifying (focus and target lock for example) decisions before he has any clue what the defender has rolled.

Sensor Jammer is optional. If you've a ship with Marksmanship shoots you there's not much reason to activate it.
